For starters, we had the Pumpkin Hazelnut Fries (SGD$12.00); both our eyes fell on that on the menu unanimously, and hence ordered one of it to share. The straw-cut fries were crumbly on the outside, with a lovely crispy batter of flour and hazelnut; the inside was a little mushy but endearingly sweet with pumpkin's flavour. Paprika and chilli joined the union of salty and sweet combination - the contrast was awesome; we were both glad we'd chosen this.

Then my Lemongrass Chicken Salad (SGD$16.00) was brought over. This is officially one of the most interesting salads I ate as well - grilled chicken salad tossed with long ribbons (note, not shredded or cut!) pickled carrots, carrots and cucumber, tossed with zesty lime, chilli and coconut dressing (where is the lemongrass?). The result was a flavourful dish with tender chicken meat, crunchy strips of vegetables that the palate loves and we could not get enough of it.

Finally, the Jamaican Jerk Pork Tenderloin (SGD$27.00) prepared with exotic Jamaican spices, and served with roasted garlic potatoes, roasted asparagus and peach-cranberry chutney. The pork was thoughtfully sectioned into smaller pieces, so that the diners need not do the hard work - but anyway the pork was so tender, cutting it would have been a breeze. Yes, so lovely it disintegrates in the mouth upon contact with the teeth, and the smokey hints merged beautifully with the herbs infusion, making this dish another palate pleaser.

a healthy yet flavourful dish to me. i like how the roasted nuts gives the mushy pumpkin a crunch texture, complimenting the dish perfectly. The light tangy dressing gave the salad a mustard finish.

From the pomegranate red velvet cake, the bitter chocolate tart to the grilled gluten free almond cake, these desserts were all out in force. The gluten cake was my favourite and yes, more healthy as well.

There were lots of cakes and tarts to choose from, definitely a heaven for the sweet tooth. It was also very thoughtful that most items came in small portion, which allows diner to try out more varities.

The not so good part is that this Vintage high tea is only available on Thursday and Friday, 3pm - 530pm. No problem for those still schooling ( it's okay to skip a lecture or two ma.. =p) but those working, probably can only do "pretend tai tai life" with the "sacrifice" of a half day leave.

Upon arriving, both of us were fascinated by its decorations. Every part of the restaurant is being decorated with a homely feel, and that is why it's named as House. My favourite is the part where they display the whimsical flowers with the sweet treats!

And what do they serve for this buffet: Assorted cakes, ranging from mud chocolate to cheese to carrot to fruit and etc, mini sandwiches, different kinds of cheese, breads, sugar sticks, macarons, eclairs, puffs, mousse and many more! They also provide complimentary coffee and home-made tea.

Do give this a short, it's definitely a cozy place to chill with your friends

Gentle-grilled veggie stick, it served along with specialty thinly well-marinated meat. Perfectly poached egg in a crispy crumb coating, the dish was unique. In fact, fusion cuisine was in small portion, quality instead of quantity. $24.00 for the plate, it was no cheap. Side order, we took Celeriac Soup. Nourish and it was basically smooth creamy, price at $14.00. Overall, the ambience was superb and that’s the spending was quite steep.

Having dined here previously, I'm already in love with the rustic ambiance of the House, its good food and friendly service. I had to keep my high expectations in check as the Vintage hi tea is only an affordable $30++ per pax.

The fabulous setup really blew me away. The decor is every bit whimsical, with old school hardcover books, antique suitcases, retro typewriter & mechanical camera scattered across the buffet spread. Dainty floral plates and countryside crockery matches perfectly with the English garden theme floral arrangement. We've been instantly teleported to the fairyland!

The food selections here wasn't exactly extensive but quite ample for a traditional Afternoon Tea session. For savories, they have the signature Skinny pizza's thin-crust pizza for those who skipped lunch for this hi tea. And a myriad of finger food such as mini burgers, finger sandwiches, savory cabbage rolls, assorted breads and a decent salad corner.

For sweets, check out the dainty little cupcakes, bite size cookies/biscuits, scones, mini cream puffs & tartlets. There is also a dessert table at the center of the dining area displaying decadent whole cakes for the hardcore sweet-toothed diners.

The Mini charcoal chicken burger tasted pretty good, the broiled chicken breast meat was rather tender and goes well with the sweet pineapple and the creamy salad mayo. Some of the burger buns can be a tad dry though so watch out which one you pick from the bunch. The Smoked salmon charcoal sandwich was flavorfully delish as well.

We initially thought that we're having Vietnamese style rice rolls but realized that it was actually cabbage rolls. These were delicious, generous serving of fresh succulent prawns, shredded chicken and veggies wrapped in thin sheets of blanched cabbages. The accompanying oriental sweet and spicy sauce brings out the natural flavors of the ingredients...thumbs up. Another must try is the freshly made breads. They come in assorted flavors, all were extremely soft and fluffy with a crispy crust!

Most of their tiny cupcakes and puffs were on the sweet side, my personal favorite is the Dark chocolate & peanut crunch cupcake...these are not as sweet. The fruit tartlets were quite good too, so was the sweet and tangy little Lemon meringue tarts. The rest are not worth mentioning.

What a nice way to spend a lazy afternoon basking in the lush greenery with good food and great company. I'm glad that we had this hi tea despite mixed reviews, we had no problem with the quality of food and speed of replenishment which seem to be the major concern. They probably had made some improvements inline with the recent price hike from $25++ to $30++. We're fine with paying a few bucks more for better food and service. Do give it a shot if you haven't had a chance to do so!

Payment took a while but since we weren’t rushing anywhere, it was just nice extra pockets of time to chill. The ambience and interior decor of the restaurant appeals to me and I wouldn’t mind going back again for some serenity when I have more budget.

This place serves up modern Western and Asian fusion delicacies. The Main Menu is designed to be a newspaper with interesting articles on food with catchy 'headlines'. There are ample selections of items in every category, coupled with informative descriptions and large photos. They have two separate menus for drinks and desserts only.

Each of us ordered a drink and boss ordered several main courses for sharing.

My Lemongrass Lychee mocktail $12++. This was a concoction of chopped canned lychees, grinded lemongrass and bits of lemon peels. It was sweet and refreshing with lotsa lychee meat swimming in the glass. I would have preferred that they provide me with a tall spoon for scooping out those lychee meat.

The Asian Sliders (a.k.a. Kong Bak Bao) $26++, this is one of their signature dishes and it lived up to its name. The braised pork belly were thinly sliced and simmered in special soy sauce broth for long hours till very soft and fully infused with flavor. It was a delight to eat this with the soft and fluffy white buns, the pork belly melted like butter in my mouth, an absolutely divine dish!

We had 2 servings of the Squid Ink Paella $30++ for sharing. This was very delicious as well, the rice was well infused with the squid ink sauce and was very fragrant. The generous amount of sliced garlic gave the rice a very nice bite and aroma. Seafood was fresh as expected...another well done dish.

Service here was decent, waiting staffs were prompt and efficient. Water gets filled up regularly, dishes were cleared without much delays. The ambiance here was fabulous, every corner evokes a slightly different feel so nobody will ever gets bored with this place. Food and beverage was of good quality, with reasonable price tags to boot (accept for the Fish basket). Average spending per head was about $40 after credit card discount, great value for money! I will probably be returning to try their Vintage Hi-tea on weekday afternoons.

Back to house at dempsey for high tea again! The food is honestly not very outstanding but the unique ambience and setting and cute theme are a draw for us to meet up here with friends. The savory food is not very good, and the sweets do better. The cupcake was pretty good having a relativly soft crumb and texture complemented by passion fruit flavoured frosting on top

This is an old school wannabe place with emphasis seemingly on decor rather than the food. I am not saying the food is horrible. Far from it, it was decent. Just not outstanding to warrant a special trip although I might drop by if I am in the area and craving for desserts. We had the warm strawberry shortcake which was a tad too expensive at 9 dollars without being exceptional. It came across as too sweet.
