Stumbled to Shunfu Mart and decided to try Huat Heng Prawn Mee Soup. I like soup but I like Chilli more! So I opted for Beehoon mee dry with extra Chilli! $4 portion because the longer I queue, the hungrier I get! Haha...I must say that the $4 portion is a very generous bowl of goodness! The ingredients are really adequate for every mouthful of noodles to have some meat or some prawn with it! The prawns are split half but they must originally be rather big prawns because even half a prawn, I could taste the texture and freshness of the prawns!! 👍🏼The Chilli paste is also very good! It coats the noodle beautifully and it has got enough kick in the spice department. The soup base I have much praise for! It's thick and cloudy yet light enough to drink by the buckets! I shamelessly asked for a big bowl of soup and boss gave without any qualms! I like that! Some stall owners will pull long faces while doing so grudgingly. Definitely be back for more!!! continue reading

I had tried the Huat Heng prawn noodles (soup). They are more popular for their fried noodles which i had eaten before month ago and taste great! This time round I decide to try out something different! The prawn noodles with soup instead. It costs $3 and is a mixture of guo tiao and noodles. If you like heavy taste like me, this prawn noodle's soup might suit you! This is really nice and awesome! The prawn is also fresh! This is another dish I will recommend in Shun Fu market. continue reading

The FoodI ordered a plate of fried prawn mee served with prawns, sotong and lean meat. Fried to a semi-wet consistency with a delicious wok hei aroma, the noodles are absorbed with rich and tasty seafood gravy and complement very well with the savory chilli sauceCertainly one of the best fried Hokkien mee in Thomson and Bishan area, Heng Huat is a definite must try if you live around there. The PriceReasonably priced at $3 per plateOverallI will definitely come back again and highly recommended to try this! continue reading

It has been a while since I had prawn noodles, so I did not think twice about ordering this. The prawn noodles can be changed to whichever noodles that you want, so I chose to have a mixture of yellow noodles and kway tiao. I ordered the dry noodles since I am not eating it there and the noodles was still separate and distinct even after I reached home. The prawns are quite fresh and the noodles are nicely cooked and seasoned with the chilli as well as having the slight sweet taste from absorbing a little of the prawn stock that the stall owner poured into the packet. I will definitely try out the soup version next time. continue reading

This stall sells fried prawn noodle and soup prawn noodle as well.Ordered their prawn noodle soup. Soup base is good and tasty with lots of fried pork lard too! which made it so fragrant. But have to be mindful that it's sinful too! I guess all tasty and nice food is sinful afterall...For a S$3 per bowl, i would say they give quite a generous portion of prawn and pork slice. The prawns are very fresh too.Had a very satified and good breakfast! continue reading
