Signature Dishes
I ordered a Selina set that serves BBQ Chicken, Sour Plum Sweet potato and Super Caramel Bubble Tea with Grass Jelly & Aloe Vera. The bbq chicken was mildly spicy and tasted just right, not overwhelming. Sour plum sweet potato was my favourite side dish. The combination of sweet and sour was just so good I could have more than one packet. Their bubble tea is also very yummy. Because it's caramel, I opted for 50% sweetness and the tea was smooth and nice. having aloe vera in it adds a tinge of sour into the sweet tea. This brand of street food and bubble tea is really very good. you should go for it everytime you see it.

I love taimei is quite interesting as they actually named their set meal after famous celebrities in taiwan like example selina, jolin etc. I ordered the fries and also their chicken set. But i did not really like the chicken as it is quite soggy and although the chicken are in huge chunks, it is not very nice. The fries on the other hand was great. The pearl milk tea was also not too bad although i would still prefer koi's one, but their pearls are actually quite chewy and nice.

Was hungry after shopping at Bugis Street so decided to buy the BBQ Chicken chop at I <3 Taimei. After ordering I had to wait for like 5 full minutes...which I consider a little too long for a street store since you're basically standing there waiting to leave. It took so long because the chicken chop had to be dipped in the flour and crust, then be fried, and then barbecued. It definitely wasn't worth the wait. Firstly, they cut it up in HUGE chunks that are impossible to finish within 2 bites. Secondly, the chicken is dry. Lastly, the chicken has bones. Like seriously, who actually buys chicken chop with bones to eat while on the go? However, the BBQ taste is very authentic and unique to I <3 Taimei. Although I did enjoy the taste, it was too much hassle and I definitely not will buy it again. Just FYI, it was only $4.00 for a really huge piece of chicken chop.

Went to Wo ai taimei for cold drink. I had their normal milk tea with grass jelly. I chose grass jelly instead of their pearls as i had tried a couple of times and their pearls are pretty hard. Grass jelly is in huge chunk and can be suck up easily via the huge straw given. The texture is really great. Smooth and tasty! I find the milk tea a little powdery though. Other than that i guess this is a good thirst quencher!

I bought the caramel milk tea with grass jelly in large cup from I love taimei. The milk tea tasted so good with the caramel. The caramel gave the milk tea a sweetish fragrance. the millk tea is very smooth as well. I like their grass jelly. It is so cooling and refreshing. They were very generous with their grass jelly topping, it made the drink taste more refreshing. I love how the grass jelly slides down my throat. Great for hot weather.
