On weekend evenings, the queue here is really long. So be sure to come early before you get too hungry waiting. My parents and I come here very often so each time we try to be adventurous. My recent visit, we ordered the sushi set that came with an assortment (2 each) of raw and cooked sushi (there was fatty salmon, tuna, unagi, scallop etc etc.) and I thought the size of each would be small but I was so wrong. The set was so large, 3 of us had trouble sharing it a long with one of the special sets that came with black pepper cod fish, and the sashimi salad, which by the way came with very generous portions of sashimi and is enough to make me come back to this branch just to have it again and again! Sauce that came with the salad was slightly tangy due to vinegar, but delightful. As well as some plates of sushi off the conveyor belt, all very tasty.I would come back here again but not for their cooked food sets. continue reading

Ichiban Boshi offers a variety of japanese food, and is a good alternative to sakae sushi and sushi tei. I was craving for some rice, so I got the Chirashi Jyu, which costs $14.90. It's basically a rice bowl and comes with salmon, tuna, swordfish sashimi, topped with salmon roe. Not exceptionally good, but the sashimi were fresh, and salmon roe goes well with the rice. Miso soup was average. continue reading

The FoodIchiban boshi has always been my favorite place for Japanese food. One of my must order is Ichiban boshi's soft shell crab as I am a crab lover! This never fails to impress. It was good, I love how they placed the soft shell crabs too. You guys should give it a try!The PriceI think it was quite reasonable for soft shell crabs. The ServiceThe service was quite good. My water was refilled the moment I finished it. The waiter was very attentive. continue reading

we had ordered one business wazen (SGD 16.9) and one Kaizen salad (SGD 9.9). Overall presentation is nice, like! Foodies are savory and fresh! I especially like the sashimi and tempura here, simply fresh! They're incredibly good! I would definitely consider to return continue reading

Food and service not comparable to the other japanese restuartants / food chains we have in singaporewe ordered a ebi & ika set , a hansaki ika tempura and topped up for chawamushi and mini cha soba . we also ordered a california roll both the ebi/ika set and chawamushi were doused heavily with soya sauce. so much that at the end of the meal my taste buds found the california roll refreshing and bland . not likely to visit again continue reading
