 My friend and I ordered sushi and they were very fresh and well presented. Hougang Mall's outlet is still my favourite outlet to go to with the great service provided by their servers! Ordered a premium set meal which came with a teriyaki chicken rice bowl + steamboat + salmon sashimi! We also ordered a garlic rice to share cause I have always been curious about its taste. Loaded with preserved vegetables and salmon, the food is kept warm with the hot stone bowl it was kept in. Definitely a choice for me when I am looking for something healthy!

 Hubby had Unagi Yanagawa, it is not overcooked and the eel is still soft and tender. The scrambled egg is nice as it absorb the sauce of the unagi.

The FoodHave been a japanese food fan but this is my first time heading to Ichiban Sushi for lunch. I decided to order their ala carte sushi plate this time and it was quite good. The unagi was fresh. Apart from this, I ordered other sushi from the ala carte menu as well. For instance, salmon sushi, soft shell crab. All of them were not bad I must say.The Price/b]Quite expensive but there are many set meals available for you to choose from too. I may try them the next time I visit them!!

My friends and i were suddenly craving for Japanese cuisine food. So when we happened to pass by the ichiban sushi outlet at Hougang mall, we decided to go for it.I had ordered the cold noodle. i prefer to eat something refreshing and cold like this on a hot day as i will fell very chilling and calm.The cold noodle tasted normal as Sakae Sushi for me. I prefer the tasted of the tea noodle. and the sweetness of the soup was just nice too.

Normally cereal will only make you recall of cereal prawn if you want to use it for fired dishes. However here at Ichiban, the chef has fully used their creativity by using it to deep fry the chicken meat. The chicken meat is tender and juicy, and with at crispy cereal coating over the chicken pieces, it is no wonder why so many younger generation love this dish so much. I had one of the value promo sets: Sukiyaki Salmon Wazen. I was quite taken aback by the portions served. There are many things served in this set. There's fresh salmon in sukiyaki sauce with egg (which definitely whet my appetite!) served with rice. There is also a few slices of tender black pepper smoked duck. There is also chawanmushi, miso soup and a slice of watermelon. The food were all fresh and this set is definitely value for money!

Went there for dinner with friend for dinner. I ordered Chasoba. The chasoba was not tasty and the soba was a bit floury. It quite good when mixed with the tea. The tea actually tastes like tea, not overly salty or tasteless and unlike some restaurants where the tea tend to be tasteless. Overall, the chasoba was average.

The coronets come in two different flavours, custard and chocolate. I love the custard flavoured one. The crust is topped with a layer of icing sugar and it is crisp and delicious
