First time bringing my mum and my aunty to Jap restaurant for lunch…The food might be highly localized, but at least it's decently yummy. First time bringing my mum and my aunty to Jap restaurant for lunch…

The food might be highly localized, but at least it's decently yummy. Everyone knows a good deal, The set meals are highly popular with customers - It is really value for money…For less than $20 or even $15, you get a full set meal with an appetizer, miso soup, main course, sashimi and also a dessert…

So we ordered their set meal & some sushi…

My Mum super like their sushi as is Fresh and well-cut,!! No complain from her
All were passable…

Just For Beef Hotplate Don…with plenty of tofu cubes, but their soup base really way too sweetness is like whole bottle of soya sauce adding in... Chawanmushi was delicious, is soft!!

Other set meal is excellent and the portion is big, Most importantly, everyone enjoying & love this restaurant…

I like this Japanese chain restaurant more than other groups. Probably their menu is more approaching to me, they have variety of bento, udon, sushi, etc. There are so many items to choose from, it could be their variety of choices attract crowds during meal time, I usually try to avoid the peak time so that I can enjoy my meal peacefully. So far, I patronise the same chain restaurant at other locations, their service are good. While I am dinning out alone, I normally would choose their salmon

While I am dinning out alone, I normally would choose their salmon in miso soup with rice. It is really good for one person serving. They give generous fried salmon pieces, mix veggie and tofu, miso soup tastes just right, add one bowl of rice to make it a meal set. Salmon has its distinct flavour when it is cooked, it always put me off in eating it, but this one was coated with a light batter than deep fried, the distinct flavour goes off. Plus miso soup does some help in enhancing other ingredients flavour. I could finish the whole bowl and rice every time. It is a satisfying meal though.

Went to Ichiban and had their set meal again! This time round I ordered the soba set meal, thinking that the complement dish was a bowl of chicken. I got a shock when they served me my set meal as the complement dish was actually a chicken egg don! It was really really too much for a person's share! But both the soba and the rice was yummy! It'll be a perfect meal if I had shared it with a friend!

The previous time I went to Ichiban Sushi, to be honest, I don't quite like the udon set. Imagine eating both rice and cold noodles in the same set but the side dishes are not even enough. However, I am totally in love with it's "Tori Maru Cheese Wazen". The cheese over the fried chicken rice is absolutely heavenly! With a chawanmushi, and miso soup, it's complete. I am a cheese lover so whatever food with cheese, I would love it to core. Though I find it hard to swallow because the whole main course was quite dry, nonetheless, it was so delicious that I want to order another one.

Another always long queue japanese restaurant in Singapore. Had the value meal black pepper salmon wazen. Nothing special. Just a salmon with black pepper sauce. Comes with chawanmushi, sashimi, miso soup and fruits. Ordered the strawberry pearls from their drinks menu. It's refreshing and make my meal completed.
