Imperial Treasure Bakery (Closed)

Have bought this packet of mini raisin scones for my lunch on this afternoon.  It was not too crowded here so in less than 5 minutes I managed to buy my items.  This bakery shop is very bright and clean with lots of choices available here.  Service was friendly and wa.  For $4.00 for this packet of scones, is quite affordable.  The texture is soft and quite moist, with strong butter fragrant in it.  The generous amount of raisins inside are very fresh and sweet.  Great to have it on its own or to spread some butter to it.…Read More

HK Char Siew Polo Bun is famous for its flaky exterior and its sweet tasting red char siew within the fluffy bread. No wonder it was the last on the tray even on a weekday night in TripleOne Somerset.Cost: $1.80 The weight of Mash Potato Bun was abit heavier than the char siew polo bun. With amount of potatoes used sparingly, one can feel better about the intake of carbohydrates. . The egg tarts here are super duper amazing. They are huge to begin with so they are really satisfying. Also, the custard is just slightly sweet, but enough to satisfy your sweet tooth. I got them hot out of the oven so they were warm and still wobbly. They practically dissolve in your mouth and the buttery crust is a delight to eat as well. A little delicate to transport though. This bakery shop has really attracted my attention because of its bright and clean layout and the different types of pastries, cakes and breads available here are also look interesting and colourful. I have bought their paper sponge cake to try, which I suppose was not too bad. The cake sponge was very soft and life in texture. However I feel that the butter taste can be stronger and it was abit too dry. This is definitely nothing good for filling the stomach as it is really too light and soft. Everytime when I pass-by Imperial Treasure Bakery in TripleOne, there were not much variety of bread left even though I think I am early at about 7pm. Through words of mouth, I heard that Imperial's egg tarts are the fresh and highly recommended, sigh, I couldnt get to see a glimpse of the tarts :(Anyway, I was quite fortunate to have this bread on my hand: Pack in a little individual plastic bag with Imperial Treasure Bakery fine prints on the exterior.The alluring flaky pastry crust is all I'm waiting for. Every portion of the bread was evenly colored by the brownish flaky pastry and they resembles the appearance of the croissant. THis is one of my favourite bun from this bakery shop. The outer layer taste abit like the bolo bun which is really sweet and with abit of crunchiness on it. The generous amount of pumpkin seeds topped on it make the bun even more crunchy and also with the natural sweetness from the pumpkin seeds. The bread is also soft and fluffy in texture too. This is one of the popular pastries in this bakery shop and I suppose most of them come here is to buy this back and share with their loves one. As for me, my husband and myself also enjoy eating it. So far, Imperial Treasure Bakery provides pastries closest to the Hong Kong flavors. The tarts and buns are not too sweet and fluffy. However the cakes are too sweet and rough.If you were to compare Imperial Treasure Bakery and Crystal Jade Bakery. Imperial Treasure Bakery has a very bright and nice decoration in their shop. All pastries, breads and cakes are nicely display on the shelvings which are attractive and tempting. Decided to try their egg tarts as they look good. However was not really impress with it as the outer crust is not crispy and fragrant. The inner egg custard is abit too dry and too sweet. At the current price although is not over charge, but the taste of it does not justify this price. I believe their normal cakes and breads may even taste better than their egg tarts.
