This cafe is located at the side after passing by McDonald's, where you can find Malay/Indian food for lunch. I had visited this place many times due to it's delicious and cheap lamp shank briyani at Bukit Gombak. Please take note that you will have a bad service especially during festive season because nobody bother to take your order and all customers have to go by self service. However, I love their briyani chicken.I really hope that the owner can improve his/her service because there are many complaints on staff courteousness is extremely bad and they often neglect customers. continue reading

The Egg Prata & Cheese Prata are great to satisfy your prata cravings! The indian-style Maggi Goreng is slightly spicy and savoury, much to my taste. The portion was just right too.If you are around Bukit Gombak, you can come to this place easily as it is located opposite the MRT station. continue reading

We thought of trying its Indian food as we see alot of people ordering them. From where we are sitting, we get to see the helpers tossing and turning Pratas on their oily and hot stove with their bare hands. With this, we all know that every prata was freshly made and prepared based on order. We ordered Thosai after our Malay Dishes in the same restaurant and bill was added on to the hand written receipt we had for dinner.Thosai was placed in the traditional looking Indian cuisine stainless steel plate, shiny consisting 4 slots, 3 openings for Thosai Sauces while the biggest was for the big piece of Thosai. It was folded into half and you can feel the crisp by the circumstance of it.All sauces comes lukewarm except the white sauce that tastes with ginger and garlic as its main ingredients.Cost: S$2.60 for 2 continue reading

Alif Restaurant have a few stalls: Malay stall, drink stall and Indian stall. Among all of the stalls, the most popular stall is the Roti Prata stall, always full of customers. Because their pratas has a smooth and buttery-taste. I chose their curry chicken as my dipping sauce for my prata! I find the curry sauce watery. They are good in making prata, but not the sauce. continue reading

Was feeling really hungry even before midnight. So decided to get some roti prata as my supper from the stall which is located near my house. As usual, this malay coffee shop is always very busy and crowded with many malays and chinese having supper.Have packed 2 roti prata with egg. Its tasted quite nice but not that fantastic actually. With their curry sauce, it tasted quite yummy. Although their prata is not the best, but still their roti prata is always popular among the customers. continue reading
