Omelette Rice (Chicken With Black Pepper Sauce) (after discount costs $3.25).
The chicken is thinly sliced and very tender. The sauce is just nice and not overwhelming.

Pasta (Special Tomato Sauce Pasta With Ebi Fry) (after discount costs $3.25). It tastes not bad too.

Ramen (Pork Belly Tonkotsu Ramen) (after discount costs $3.40). It tastes not bad, but feels that the soup is not hot enough.

Donburi (Scallop Mentai Donburi) (after discount costs $3.90). With the prickled vegetables, it gives the mushy rice a crunchy texture. There is quite a bit of chopped scallop in the rice.

Overall the food tastes not bad and quite value for money.

Okonomiyaki ($5.50)
It is mostly vegetables, topped with mayo and brown sauce. Prefer more topping.

Overall the taste of the food seems to be going down hill over the years.

Ishi Mura is a Japanese food street which sells a wide variety of japanese food. I love Japanese food, and here is a great place for affordable and nice jap food! I ordered a ham cabbage pancake @ $5. It consists of a cabbage base, egg, ham and seaweed. It comes with two dressings, mayonnaise and sweet teriyaki sauce! Although the ingredients are fairly simple, when you eat it all together, it is simply amazing and really nice! Perfect for a meal if you do not wish to have any rice or noodles. D

Was at Northpoint and wanted to have a simple dinner so we decided to visit Ishi Mura as they serve rather affordable food there.I ordered a plain ramen for $4.80 as I dont like the Japanese type cha siew. The plain ramen only comes with an egg, the noodles and a piece of seaweed. Great if you are looking for something simple & cheap. The soup is really nice & thick, a milky color although you dont taste any milk. It's just hours of boiling I think. Noodles is quite average and a little over-cooke

Loves Japanese food. Want to eat it at reasonable price. Head over to Ishi Mura Food Court at Northpoint Top floor right now. Prawn garlic rice. Their serving is quite large and prawns are quite a lot. A sunny side up egg is included inside the hot stone pot too. We have to mix it ourselve to enhance the taste. Be careful of the sauce which may shoot onto your hand as the stone bowl is piping hot. Teriyaki Chicken Garlic Rice. Loves this much! <3

It is almost 9pm when I come out of the library. I decides to check out the sushi counter as there is a 30% discount on sushi and maki before closing. Not much choices in the counter, but still got myself a box of 3 tako salad maki and 2 scallop maki (usual : $3.90), which costs $2.75 after discount. The seafood filling tastes average. The sushi rice tastes rather dry and a bit hard too.

The place is largely run and managed by Chinese. There might be one or two authentic Japanese chefs still, though I cannot quite tell who is who. They are all shouting out Japanese greetings and phrases. To a lesser extent than what you would hear in Japan.

Here, we tried the Pork Belly garlic fried rice. Served in a really hot ceramic bowl, the dish came smelling really fragrant. The food got a little too salty for the taste-buds after a while. The garlic fried rice could have been better, taste wise. It was bland. Lacked the omph.

Like how the Japanese have an electronic scale machine to weigh out their rice. Just press a button (which I assume specifies the portion of rice), have an empty bowl at the collection point and.. wala. Always equal portions of rice for each customer.
Which for Singaporeans, makes it tough to say, "less rice, more rice". The Japanese just takes whatever is served, and, finishes up every morsel!

If you want a choice of Japanese meal without having to walk far or fret that your companion might want something other than what you wish, try, Ishi Mura.

I am not a Japanese food lover because i simply dont really like that... But i tried something there that kinda changed my mind about japanese food. I mean the only thing i know about Jap food that is good is the Ramen. The one from Ajisen Ramen is really interesting as i like something spicy.

So heading to northpoint, i had no idea where to dine. My close friend introduced me to this place call Ishimura where i tried the omelet rice with the salmon and a mixture of mushrooms.

My reaction was " are u kidding" when the dish came. It was so little, i could laterally count the mushrooms and my index finger is longer than the salmon and it was covered in cream sauce.

However, when i tasted the dish, i had a change of mind! The omelet rice was quite averagely done but the salmon and the mushrooms went so well with each other such that they complemented each other! Wow!!! I was quite happy! The only problem was that i wasnt full and the worse part was that it was quite late so the shopping centre was about to close but luckily i had a bun earlier as that satisfied my hunger.

Ambience
The ambience was pretty good and as the Christmas season is in progress, Christmas carols were being played to suit the mood and as for the seating arrangement, the traditional Japanese chairs were used but for me being big sized, the ergonomics should be adjusted sometimes. I mean i rather sit on the stool.

Service

The lady that served us was ok but when i asked her if others were available, the response was monotonous. I have nothing to complain about. Il just be honest.

Conclusion

I think that it is best to go back there if you want cheaper Japanese food as you can find something decent for below $10. I probably will go back there.

Unorthodox but tasty!

The ramen noodles was also given in a suitable amount to fill your tummy.
When asked for more soup, topping is 1.50. Not really worth it as it is just soup! Shocked when I have to top for the soup.
