There are egg sushi, scallop sushi, smoked salmon and smoked duck sushi in this photo and ALL ARE AMAZING. Especially the scallop sushi, it is very fresh and taste rly good. very value for money. even the egg sushi is different from those i had in other japanese restaurant. It is softer and have this taste that i couldn't describe, but it is really delicious.

I shared all these sushi with my boyfriend and the bill came out to be less than $20.

The food here is really value for money and i will definitely be back for it.

But no soy sauce forty cents sushi either. That's alright though. We headed straight for what we wanted. An order for 6 wagyu sashimi sushi. The kagoshimi roasted wagyu had a good marbling appearance. Now all that's left was the taste test. At $4 a pop, this was not cheap. but boy it was good!It melts in your mouth and there was a slightly smoky aftertaste. It didn't have a gamey taste during or after and the garlic and negi were awesome accompaniments to this. Just a spot of wasabi and I was goo

the salmon sashimi was a bright pretty pink and was fresh. melting omega lines. these oils must be good for me.

I love this new spacious offering of theirs even if it means travelling a little bit more distance for Itacho. Rather the distance then the queue correct? And another half dozen of salmon sashimi.

The rest of the food was good and delicious too. Would revisit for more …

- Cold Green Tea Noodle with Seasoned Scallop ($6)

I also tried their croquette balls which again were very small. It was rather tasty, but I couldn't taste much of the duck - can't tell if it's really that, I only got a few chopped bits of meat inside.

- Smoked Duck Croquette Ball ($3.70)

2 of my friends ordered the unagi don set. Review from them was bad, there was not enough sauce so the rice beneath was too dry.

- Una Don lunch set served with miso soup ($12)

The salmon with soy sauce sushi seemed to be a great deal. But well, as they say...you pay for what you get. The salmon on top was actually just salmon skin marinated in soy sauce which had a bit of bbq taste to it. Didn't like this sushi as well.

- Salmon with soy sauce sushi ($0.40 per piece, limited to 2 per pax)

One friend loved her ume sushi set though. Unfortunately I don't eat raw food, so I can't do the tasting myself.

- Ume roasted sushi set served with miso soup and steamed egg

I had a taste of the steamed egg with crab meat that came with the ume set. Tasted not bad, it was sweet with the crab meat. However, it's quite watery, which might not go down well with those who like their chawanmushi firmer.

Hot tea is complimentary only if you spend more than $10 per pax. Hmmm, the tea tasted more like malt tea than green tea to me, but I did not verify with the staff.

- Hot tea

Generally this place might be ok for a casual meal, but I probably will not be back anytime soon.

The Spicy Salmon with Crispy Beancurd Sushi is one of the more creative sushis. The spicy salmon wasn’t overwhelming and hence didn’t cover the taste of the salmon. The crispy beancurd is similar to the fried beancurd skin that are being served in vegetarian restaurant without any seasoning, so it tastes pretty light but yet crispy.

The Roasted Egg with Shrimp is another simple dish that is somewhat roasted tamago with sweet shrimp. The roasted egg was fragrant. The sweet shrimps enhanced the taste of the eggs by providing a chewy texture to the egg and a sweet flavour that compliments the fragrance of the egg

I should say they should maintain the good itacho sushi standard in all outlets. Perhaps in Star Vista outlet, it's new, the service was slow & wrong orders taken. I have visited other outlets and always thought that their standards are of the same so I order quite a few dishes. Service in this outlet has to buck up!. We had the longest wait for this Unagi, I was wondering if they went to the nearest supermart and buy it and then cook it before serving us.
