Specialized in Western cuisine, Jack’s Place was now visible at Toa Payoh area. It was brought by JP Pepperdine group, proudly brand stood at Singapore. I used to savour their Lunch Set, Menu would be slightly different by outlets. Sunny Thursday, main course offered was either Grilled Fillet or Sirloin Steak. Service was attentively prompt and we were greeted with a glass of warm water, staff politely suggested upgrade option which was newly stated down on Menu.Of course I picked Steak set, well-known signature dish at Jack’s Place. Served along with creamy Mushroom soup, garlic bread was perfectly matched. Dipping into hot starchy soup, texture was a wonderful munches with buttery fragrance. Thoughtfully provided cheese powder and pepper, the bottles were well-arranged on top of table.Presentation was exactly fancy, nothing much to complain about. Tender touch of the beef, I ordered for medium-cooked. Not too dry or mushy, meat was moist juicy. Topped with Onion Brown sauce, taste was decent salty and full of freshness. Assorted colourful veggies as dressing, crossly wedges were attractive crunchy too. Price at $13.90, accomplished meal was satisfying and value for money. continue reading
