Hanging out with my boyfriend on Sunday at NorthPoint, we felt like eat our lunch at food court because there provided more choices. The food court was quite packed during lunch time, especially weekend I think.Queue-ing up at Japanese stall, I ordered Hotplate Kabayaki Set after browsing through the Menu. The rice portion was big for me as I not really like to eat plain rice. Talking about the Unagi, it was flavourful and perfect matched with the scrambled egg in the hotplate. Not too expensive, it costed me $4.80 per set. continue reading

Initially I thought the japanese steam egg will taste good and so i bought another one for my colleagues to eat. But however, to my disappointment, it is packed with msg. It is so damn salty that i reject any intake of it after just one bite of the egg. -.-'.The fish is cooled. I mean, it is left there for quite a amount of time already. It should be cooked on the spot and not pre-cook for us consumer to taste the best of their cooking. Yes, waiting time would be long, but i would like to be served properly by what i pay for and not low quality food just because of some time saving thing. Lastly, the fish should be consume slowly and with caution - this fish has a lot of small, probably go invisible if you don't focus, bones. continue reading

Because i look salmon so much. I decide to purchase more this time round. This time i bought it at after 9 because i was rushing from someway else. To my surprise they are having 30% discount. This is because they cannot keep the food and have sell it cheap to prevent wastage of food that is being thrown away. The salmon sushi taste not bad but however i do not like the combination of mayonnaise with salmon cause the taste is being drawn away by the mayonnaise itself. continue reading

I was visiting my friend in Yishun and she told me about this japanese cuisine stall at the Food Mall. She said that the pork cutlet rice was quite yummy. Since i was around the area, i decided to try the japanese cuisine. As usual, the fried pork cutlet was nice and crispy but not too dry. The rice was a bit disappointing as it is too sticky like they add to much water when cooking. I would rate this stall only average continue reading

A very superficial Japanese Chicken Cutlet set. The chicken cutlet though looked big in size but it was a very very thin slice coated with a layer of bread crumb. It was such a thin slice, i could hardly tell whether it is a chicken or a pork when tasting it.The good thing was they only fried it upon ordered. It has got a slight warm when eating it but not much of crispiness to talk about. The presentation was rather boring, it did not serve with any shredded cabbages but just a piece of chicken cutlet all by itself. It served along with a small little bowl of watery salary cream which did not play a part to enhance the flavor when dipping a slice of chicken cutlet into it. The only commendable effort gotta be the bowl of hot miso soup. It tasted alright with little pieces of tofu in it. But for the price of $3.90, i should not be expecting too much. continue reading
