Hanging out with my boyfriend on Sunday at NorthPoint, we felt like eat our lunch at food court because there provided more choices. The food court was quite packed during lunch time, especially weekend I think.Queue-ing up at Japanese stall, I ordered Hotplate Kabayaki Set after browsing through the Menu. The rice portion was big for me as I not really like to eat plain rice. Talking about the Unagi, it was flavourful and perfect matched with the scrambled egg in the hotplate. Not too expensive

Queue-ing up at Japanese stall, I ordered Hotplate Kabayaki Set after browsing through the Menu. The rice portion was big for me as I not really like to eat plain rice. Talking about the Unagi, it was flavourful and perfect matched with the scrambled egg in the hotplate. Not too expensive, it costed me $4.80 per set.

Initially I thought the japanese steam egg will taste good and so i bought another one for my colleagues to eat. But however, to my disappointment, it is packed with msg. It is so damn salty that i reject any intake of it after just one bite of the egg. -.-'.The fish is cooled. I mean, it is left there for quite a amount of time already. It should be cooked on the spot and not pre-cook for us consumer to taste the best of their cooking. Yes, waiting time would be long, but i would like to be ser

The fish is cooled. I mean, it is left there for quite a amount of time already. It should be cooked on the spot and not pre-cook for us consumer to taste the best of their cooking. Yes, waiting time would be long, but i would like to be served properly by what i pay for and not low quality food just because of some time saving thing. Lastly, the fish should be consume slowly and with caution - this fish has a lot of small, probably go invisible if you don't focus, bones.

This may not look as appetizing as it should be but the taste is there. The scrambled egg cum omelette is cooked to perfection - watery and soft. which complements the fresh bright colored salmon which is cut really, really in thin slices. Ok - as usual - you get what you pay for. The rice is sticky and may appear to be a little bit lumpy. But when eaten together with the egg, what you get is really nice "sticky egg rice". .I suggests adding a little bit of black pepper to it to add taste to this

I suggests adding a little bit of black pepper to it to add taste to this dish as it may be quite bland for most people. But if you look to the healthy side - it is actually healthy because if the dish is bland, it suggests that less msg are used in it!

Teriyaki chicken and salmon bento.Surprisingly the rice texture is soft despite it's appearance. Now, let' move on to the teriyaki chicken's taste. The sauce aroma is really overwhelming and smell "sweet". Of course, it tasted sweet as well. The sauce could be less sweet to bring out the natural taste of the chicken. But however, according to the chicken texture, I assume that the chicken is not really very fresh. A little bit disappointed by that. Maybe they made the sauce sweeter for today to

The sauce could be less sweet to bring out the natural taste of the chicken. But however, according to the chicken texture, I assume that the chicken is not really very fresh. A little bit disappointed by that. Maybe they made the sauce sweeter for today to cover up the not-so-fresh chicken flesh or something xD.
Salmon, Ok, a little bit happy and saved for the day by the salmon. Fresh, crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. I think they actually went to simmer the fish first then pan grill it for a little while. The sauce? Yes, the same taste as the teriyaki chicken sauce.
Condiments are really, really, little! When asked for more, none was actually given unless their mayonnaise was given even lesser before asking for more.
Vegetables? I don't think the nutrient are intact as it seems that the vegetables have been shredded and put away in a corner for quite a period judging from the color.
.

Because i look salmon so much. I decide to purchase more this time round. This time i bought it at after 9 because i was rushing from someway else. To my surprise they are having 30% discount. This is because they cannot keep the food and have sell it cheap to prevent wastage of food that is being thrown away. The salmon sushi taste not bad but however i do not like the combination of mayonnaise with salmon cause the taste is being drawn away by the mayonnaise itself.

This sashimi is not bad i would say. It cost $3.50. It comes in 5 sashimi sushi per pack. If you are looking something light and not filling to your stomach. I would suggest this pack of sushi. Quite nice. It comes with soy sauce and wasabi. There are also other types of sushi for you to choose from. It range from about a dollar plus to above $6.50. The sushi would be a sides for you to have after or during a meal.

I was visiting my friend in Yishun and she told me about this japanese cuisine stall at the Food Mall. She said that the pork cutlet rice was quite yummy. Since i was around the area, i decided to try the japanese cuisine. As usual, the fried pork cutlet was nice and crispy but not too dry. The rice was a bit disappointing as it is too sticky like they add to much water when cooking. I would rate this stall only average

A very superficial Japanese Chicken Cutlet set. The chicken cutlet though looked big in size but it was a very very thin slice coated with a layer of bread crumb. It was such a thin slice, i could hardly tell whether it is a chicken or a pork when tasting it.The good thing was they only fried it upon ordered. It has got a slight warm when eating it but not much of crispiness to talk about. The presentation was rather boring, it did not serve with any shredded cabbages but just a piece of chicken

The good thing was they only fried it upon ordered. It has got a slight warm when eating it but not much of crispiness to talk about. The presentation was rather boring, it did not serve with any shredded cabbages but just a piece of chicken cutlet all by itself. It served along with a small little bowl of watery salary cream which did not play a part to enhance the flavor when dipping a slice of chicken cutlet into it.

The only commendable effort gotta be the bowl of hot miso soup. It tasted alright with little pieces of tofu in it.

But for the price of $3.90, i should not be expecting too much.

Oh, this is my favourite food court food to eat! I always eat from this store whenever I eat at northpoint. My favourite was the soft shell crab bowl. It's so delicious that I can never resist its temptation. The crab is so crunchy, especially yummy for the legs. Also, the soft shell crab bowl comes along with other japanese ingredients. And it's like quite cheap, $4, what else do you expect when there's a crab in it?
