Somehow i went into Ji De Chi last month because while walking i saw the advertisments for some promotion foods along that side of the street.
I was surprised their beancurd barley with ginko nuts taste as good and the price is only $2 compared to the $2.70 across the road and not satisfied with my one bowl eat in, i ordered a take away and it's also only $2 with no additional charge for take aways.

My girlfriend and I just love desserts! We headed to ji de chi for dessert after a filling dinner. As the weather was quite hot and humid, we ordered a shaved ice to share. we picked the mocha snow ice. It was very smooth and the mocha taste was quite strong. It had yummy toppings as well such as mini rice ball, nata de coco, chocolate chips. It was really delicious!

Ji de chi has a wide range of local desserts.. My favourite one is their SNOW ice. It's not the normal ice you see in hawker centre and food court. It looks like layers of snow.. The overall presentation is rather good for the eye.I ordered the black sesame with redbean. I ordered this because of the red bean, but too bad, it is not actually red bean. I ordered the black sesame with redbean. I ordered this because of the red bean, but too bad, it is not actually red bean. It turns out to be kidney bean=( It is alright, but i dont fancy kidney beans, they are too big to taste good. There is coconut jelly too and the other one which i dont know the name. It is round and transparent and it burst in your mouth, like the japanese fish egg. I dont like it, but my friends love it.

Overall taste is good, the black sesame taste is rich and service is alright.

I always liked having something sweet after my main meals. Being a fan of chinese desserts, I often patronise Ji De Chi for its hot pastes and shaved ice. We ordered the green tea shaved ice with red bean, nata de coco and small mochi balls and the mango shaved ice with mango, nata de coco and small round jelly. In case you are wondering, the fillings (nata de coco etc etc) come together with the shaved ice.I especially liked the green tea shaved ice because it had a hint of green tea flavour an

I especially liked the green tea shaved ice because it had a hint of green tea flavour and its not too sweet. Plus the mochi balls are nice to munch on since it is chewy. The mango shaved ice is also nice without the mango flavouring tasting too artifical. It is sweeter than the green tea shaved ice, which is why I am more inclined towards the green ice shaved ice. Price is $5 each, some flavours have increased prices though.

Service for shaved ice tends to be longer than if you ordered pastes.
