My friend introduced me to this Wanton Mee stall at Hong Lim Hawker Centre. This stall was located behind and away from the front view of the hawker centre, hence I had a hard time finding this stall. There was no much queue after Lunch hours. It was by chance that I tried this wanton mee and it was only after that that I realised it is a famous stall. As I was there at around 4plus in the afternoon, there wasnt any queue. I happened to be there at about 5 pm and about half of the stalls in this food centre have already closed so i was left with very limited choices. During lunch time at work, me and my colleagues went to hong lim square for the first time. We happened to chance across this famous wanton mee stall and decided to give it a try. It is awesome! It had me hooked at the first try! The noodles are really unique is is slightly hard hence giving it a chewy texture and it is thicker than most noodles. The black sauce is really tasty! Honglim Food centre has alot of tasty food as introduced by my friends. One of the stall is Ji Ji Wanton Noodles. I bought a bowl of the signature dish at $3+ and thought it smells like those Malaysia Black Sauce Noodles and indeed it tastes like it! The texture of the noodles is so different from the usual wanton mee bought outside. Generous amount of mushroom, Charsiew, Wanton, minced meat and vegetables. Worth queueing and trying!

Ji Ji Wanton is THE place to go for in Hong Lim when you want quality noodles at reasonable prices. They have dumpling noodles and hor fun too but wanton noodles is their specialty. Their noodles are springy, char siew is firm and wanton are plump and juicy. The queue may be long but it is worth the wait. Usually, the wait is not that long as they are very efficient unless it's during the lunchtime peak.

I have heard that this stall is very famous for its wanton mee which is why I joined in the queue even though there are around 10 people in front of me. This is another wanton mee that i truly enjoyed. Good foods hard to come by these days and this stall is definitely amongst the rare find. It served the Malaysia style wanton noodle. Noodles are cooked al dente. The very nice smelling char siew does not contain fats and meat is tender enough. Wanton is of considerable size and tastes not too bad, just that it was a little dry on the inside. Chilli here is so-so but their green chilli is fresh!
