Looking at the menu, I decide on the prawn chee cheong fan as I thinking having something light. The chopped spring onions and deep fried shallots add a touch of colour onto the otherwise plain dish. The soya sauce that pour over the chee cheong fan is not enough as I feel the chee cheong fan is still a dry on some part. The prawns in the chee cheong fan tastes quite tough and overcooked, could be due to sitting too long in the steamer. continue reading

When i pass by this stall i was shock, because i saw the chocolate color of this bun.So i ask the staller about it.He say it is a coffee bun. This is the first time that i heard of it.SO i try on it.It taste very nice. The very soft bun and the very thick coffee paste inside. It is very tasty and not too sweet too.I like it so much.It looks small and cost $0.70.But as the paste is much,so it do fiil some part of my stomach. continue reading

Chicken Glutinous Rice wrapped in Lotus leaf. I really like this a lot. The glutinous rice is very soft and sticky. There are also mushroom inside which I love. The mushroom is quite small though, and I only found one slice. The chicken is well marinated and it is tender. Very nice.Fried Beancurd. It has chicken, carrots, and various vegetables in it. Because of the vegetables, it makes the beancurb very crunchy. continue reading

I love having dim sum for breakfast but it can be expensive having it at the restaurant that is why I love those dim sum stalls located in the food centre. I ordered a couple of my favorite like char siew pau, har gow and siew mai. The char siew pau was quite nice but the filling was a bit sweet. The siew Mai tested average only. I was disappointed with the har gow as the skin was a bit hard but the filling is nice continue reading

I had a sudden craving for dim sum hence decided to order just a basket of prawn dumplings. They heat it up by re-steaming it for about 5 minutes or so before served. A basket of 3 prawn dumplings is for a reasonable price of $1.80. The prawn dumplings were slightly smaller in size with chopped pieces of prawn found in it. The skin was pretty dry thus tasted hard, it tasted just like those that left to cool for a while. I would rather pay a little extra to have better quality dim sum than these. I might just give it a try someday since they have quite a few stalls island wide but i will definitely stay away from this particular stall for a bit.All in all, it was a disappointing experience. continue reading
