Walked pass this stall at AMK Market & Food Centre. The buns displayed really attracted me, so I stopped by to have a look at them.In the end, I bought a Chocolate Chips Muffin, selling at $1.50 each. The Chocolate Chips Muffins are the signature buns of the stall, by the way.The other buns costs $1.20 each, $3.00 for 3 pieces.I bought 2 Japanese Red Bean Buns and 1 Chicken Char Siew Bun.Chocolate muffin does not taste very sweet or buttery, the chocolate chips bursts with chocolate after chewing on them. The chocolate filling was also very chocolatey but not too sweet. Very smooth texture and not too dry to the point that you need to drink water for every bite to swallow properly. Delicious!!!!The red bean bun seems very sweet to me but when I took my first bite on the red beans it really amazed me!The sugar content was very well controlled and supervised, they go just nice with the bread in each bite complementing each other very well. The texture of the red bean filling was very smooth, creamy but starchy though. The bread was also very soft and I love the feeling when the bread 'melts' in my mouth.Very good try!!! Did not take a picture of the Chicken Char Siew Bun,because I did not like it. Char Siew tastes better with pork, in my opinion.Char Siew made of chicken is just wierd. Anyway the char siew was too sweet for me.The bread was as good as the Japanese Red Bean Bun's though The uncle was very nice to me. I did not bring enough cash that day, so he told me where was the nearest ATM machine, and kindly waited for my return. Great service and comfortable environment!!!!! continue reading

I was there for dinner and still feeling hungry so i got myself something from this bakery stall in this food centre. I ordered a curry bun to munch. Such a bun is priced at $1.20. A little pricey for such a basic bun. The filling of curry potato has got the right mushy texture. The bread itself was light and fluffy. It tasted quite good overall. I would not mind popping by if i am there for lunch. continue reading
