I was on my way back from meeting my client and decided to grab something to eat from NEX. Jollibean is the natural choice as its pancakes are quite alright in terms of size and is enough to satisfy me. I got the cheese maru pancake. The pancake still feels slightly warm and the pancake is still a little soft. The cheese filling is quite substantial and evenly spread throughout the pancake such that I get to taste the cheese filling in every bite that I take. The pancake batter is not too thick

i like the filling but not the pastry. the filling is nice and fragrant and very very sweet. it is also very sticky. the green tea flavour is prominent. the pastry however, is hard and dry and not soft. it is nicely browned and smelled good but there is a layer of grease and i would prefer eating it hot and not cold. service is inconsistent and some days it is good. about $1

i though the pancakes here were nice until someone told me that the peanut filling should not be so pasty and sticky but rather, should be loose and dry! i totally agree! the pancake itself is nice but the filling could be less sticky and pasty. it's like peanut butter, which is not as good as those filling which is dry and freshly ground. there are other flavours as well and is good for a convenient snack.

the pancakes here are good in the sense that the pastry is thick and traditional. i don't like the new thin pastry that some places are selling. it's also fragrant and nicely chewy. i didn't really like the filling too much as it is too runny and sweet. another thing about jollibean is that their pancakes are not hot or warm. they are cold! and covered in plastic, for some reason, which makes it look like left overs... otherwise, it is reasonably priced and not bad.

Had the green tea pancake. Would prefer if it was hot! Sometimes if you're lucky and they're making it, then you'll get it hot. Otherwise, cold isn't as great but still pretty good. Love the fragrant subtle green tea aroma and taste. Not too sweet. Nice thick pastry to go with the gooey filling. It's only about $1.20. It's great! Wish I had gotten more. It's wonderful to go with the soy bean drinks. Quick service. There are many other flavours like the popular red bean, cheese and kaya fillings.

The service is very polite and efficient on some days, and especially if you speak Chinese with a mainland accent. This is because their staff are all mainland Chinese. Tried their crispy pancake but it just sticks to your teeth. Tried their normal thick pancake as well but it was just too cakey. so trying their small pancakes this time. Bingo! It's the best!

You probably can't get them hot since they are all cooked and packed into boxes and no one's making any fresh ones since there's so many boxes sitting on display. That means it's cold pancakes. But the lady said you could heat it up at home in the microwave or steamer and it'll taste better. I agree! Hot pancakes are much better.

Nevertheless, these are very fresh and tasted very good! I had the peanut and red bean fillings. Both were just sweet enough and filled properly. The pastry was thin/thick enough and very fragrant. You can smell it once you open the box. And it only cost around $2.20 per box. I love this pancake! It's as good as the four season durian pancake! So nicely cooked and fragrant. It's a bit greasy on the hands, due to heavy greasing of the pan in order for the pancake not to stick to the pan. The balance of pastry to filling is perfect!

Highly recommended! Wow, so much to say about a simple pancake!

I was curious if Jollibean’s pancake is any good so I bought one, the kani mayo one. Well, the skin of the pancake was a little bland? I like the kani mayo inside. The crab meat was cut up and mixed with the mayo nicely. However, the pancake could have been a little bigger and hotter... When I bought it, it was cold unlike usual pancakes that are hot and everything….The pancake is not exactly bad or fantastic. About average I'd say. Just something that I would not eat daily...

You know how sometimes when you wanna be full but not overeat on complex carbs.. You know how sometimes when you want to be full but not overeat on complex carbs.. Must come and try this beancake of jollibean. Bought the red bean paste beancake for my breakfast. Wow, it was so filling after I finished the cake. The beancake was soft, and can tell that it was freshly made. And generous amount of the red bean paste added to the taste and wonderful feeling of munching on it. On top of that, the red bean paste was considered all right, not too sweet for my taste.
