Full review at http://lepakwithyaops.com/ju-shin-jung-주신정-quality-korean-charcoal-bbqFollow Lepak With Yaops on Instagram and FacebookDebut in 2003 at West Coast, business of Ju Shin Jung Korean BBQ took flight and has 4 outlets island wide today; West Coast, East Coast,GuillemardRoad and Robertson Walk. Despite the craze for Korean BBQ in Singapore, yet each outlet that I visited has subtle differences that sets them apart from one another. Here at Ju Shin Jung, they offer full services which includes well-trained staffs who BBQ-ed the meat for us and served a full set of Korean sides the moment we settled down. For buffet, there are 5 choices of meat (pork belly, pork loin, marinated pork, and marinated chicken & seasoned sliced beef) and fresh prawns. If you want more variety, you may wish to order from the Ala carte segment. Wagyu beef are available too!Apart from meat and sides, we got to choose 1 out of 7 choices as our main dish.Overall, I will classify Ju Shin Jung Korean BBQ as a 'above average' BBQ outlet. Tables are nicely spaced out as well which gave us room for privacy. Oh yes, there is also a kids entertainment corner for your child. continue reading

Ju Shin Jung has very authentic korean barbecue. The quality of the beef is fantastic. It was tender and very well marinated. The grille was also very good, as it allows the oil from the meat to drain instead of collecting on the grille. I also particularly liked their seafood steamboat soup, as they were generous with the seafood, and I could taste that the soup was boiled from scratch instead of made from instant powder like most others. The service at the restaurant was very good and they were generous with the side dishes which was refillable. continue reading

I was in the area, and luckily I found a carpark lot right opposite. if not you can park at Katong 112 and take a small walk. We planned for a Korean Grill BBQ Buffet, and chose Ju Shin Jung at Joo Chiat. The assorted pickled vegetable (kimchi, radish, cucumber) was very appetizing and goes well with the meat. Most of the meat on the buffet menu is not marinated so we can taste the original taste of the meat but they also provide different kind of dipping for us to use. Must try the marinated pork collar, very tender and well seasoned. Fresh vegetables is also provided for wrapping of the meat. continue reading

I did had lunch before there but was long ago. I ordered a Kimchi Tofu sSoup and it come with a rice and Henry ordered a saba fish set both sets cost only $9.90 really cheap for lunch and we were served 8 plates of side dishes. And after our meal we were given each a ginger tea after GST and service charge our lunch cost only $25.66! continue reading

I tried this place when I had some cravings (often) for korean barbeque. The service was good. Probably its because the outlet was not exactly filled up given the expensive offerings. Anyway, the pork collar was quite tasty and marinade well seasoned. The flavours shone through after some helpful grilling by the staff. I also ordered the sundubujigae (tofu soup) and there was a generous amount of tofu within the soup. The soup could have been hotterand spicier though. Visit if you want quality. continue reading
