They also offer unlimited BBQ promotion. Unfortunately, the promotion was not available during the Chinese New Year Period.

I ordered few types of pork and beef. Only beef are marinated and good. The pork was quite tasteless though. Kimchi, so so with few choices only. Service : good, helpful and friendly for most of the staff. Decor : so so. A bit old but acceptable. Price : unable to tell as not pay by me! This is my personal opinion. Ambience was not bad, staffs were caring and helpful too. We decided to have Ala Carte Buffet, $35++ per adult for dinner. There was one main dish per pax inclusive, free flow of Pork, Chicken, Korean Snacks and Beverages. Funniest happened, we were given few white tablets and both of us were in the midst. According to the instruction, we poured in some water then it grew became WET TISSUE, Amazingly!!

Pretty? It was my idea to arrange them properly and shuttered a photo before we get started. One thing I like about was the side dishes were authentic and varied, generously given. Surprisingly, we walked out the restaurant without smelling of BBQ. Talking about cost, it depends what you are ordering. But don’t worry, it would not burn your wallet.

Complimentary First Round of Side Dishes consist of:

Kimchi Pickles
2 different types of Kimchi
Cold Seaweed Soup (Sour and appetite inducing. I like it but not the others!)
Salad (Which i forgot to try. But must be good cause everyone was eating it)
Ikan Billis (Nice and crunchy)
Pickled white radish
Onion salad (The bottom of the pic)
Cold tofu (Awesomely goooood!)
Seasoned Vegetables
Pumpkin Dessert (Subtlely sweet and not jelat. Very nice touch to end the meal with)

SEAFOOD PANCAKE
On the right of the picture, you can see the giant pancake which we ordered.
Super nice when you eat it with the spicybean pasta and chilli dip!

GINSENG CHICKEN SOUP
Nice but i have tasted better ones in Takashimaya’s Korean Restaurant (just opposite Pariss Seafood Buffet)
Subsequent refills are chargeable. But I doubt you would ask for more cause there were so many of them!

BBQ
The staff will come over to your table and help you with the bbqing and cutting up of the meat for you to wrap it in the lettuce which is complimentary and you can always ask for more servings to compliment the meat.

We ordered BBQ Pork Slices and and Pork Collar and the servings were pretty small in my honest opinion, much as the dining experience was fun and yums. I would probably only come back for the lunch buffet which is much more affordable which free flow of meat.Although I was full after the meal, i didnt really feel shiok enough cause I was full from the side dishes and had like probably.. 7 pieces of meat about the size of a bus ticket.

Been wanting to try Korean BBQ since forever, it's just so tempting to hear the sound of meat sizzling over the hot grill and I finally satisfied the temptation at Ju Shin Jung!

Located at YESS Centre, the place was quite easy to find since it is just opposite Haw Par Villa! There are two kinds of seatings available and we could choose which one we want, one being the normal seats you usually see in restaurants and the other being like those you see in Korean dramas, where you sit down on cushions placed on wooden-like floors.

Prices were rather decent for a buffet (Lunch: Adult $29++, Child $16++, Dinner: Adult $35++, Child $19++) where you can choose to have free flow meat (Pork Collar, Marinated Pork, Marinated Chicken, Pork Belly) to BBQ and also a main dish for each person. Main dishes include Fried Saba Fish, Clear Beef Rib Soup, Spicy Soft Tofu Soup, Hot Stone Bowl Rice, Soya Bean Paste Soup and Soup/Spicy Cold Noodles. There was free flow side dishes too! However, wet towel, water and tea are not included in this buffet, and they charge $20/100g for any leftovers!

The amount of side dishes were overwhelming and pretty soon our table was filled up quickly! My favourite has got to be the one in the middel, which tasted like kangkong!

The meat!! OMG! *salivates* It was so good and juicy and went really well with the sauce provided! I tried wrapping the meat with the lettuce provided and added some sauce and garlic and ate it the 'Korean' way, and it tasted really good!!

And you don't have to do anything because the staff there BBQ and cut the meat for you! And they are really hygienic. My friend accidentally used her chopsticks to pick up raw meat and then immediately her old set of utensils were changed to a new one.

And to end things on a sweet note, we were served watermelons as dessert.

Overall, I feel the ambience of the place is rather nice, and the staff are really attentive. The ventilation of the restaurant is quite good as well, we did not leave smelling like BBQ meat or anything. Furthermore, the food standard is pretty good and the meat is really juicy and tender. I will definitely go back again!

Actually this is my third times, near to my workplace so whenever I crave for Korean BBQ, this is the place that immediately comes to mind!Quality meat, fresh vegetables and a wide variety of refillable side dishes! I cannot comment much on the authenticity since I have never been to Korea even though you can frequently hear conversations in Korean. Price wise, it really depends on what you order and there is a tendency to over-order!

This authenthic Korean restaurant maybe a little bit out of place for me, but I still brought my family members here to enjoy a sumptuous barberque dinner here as recommended by my fellow colleagues. The service here is very friendly and the restaurant is cool and spacious too. The sliced beef meat is definitely my family favourite as the meat is very tender and juicy. Dip with their in house sauce, certainly delicious and may you want to crave for more.

Ju Shin Jung is not too expensive but generous in their free-flow sides dishes and meat portions. Ala carte buffet serves unlimited pork belly, pork collar, marinated port and marinated chicken. 50% discount for their beef platter. The place is clean, not too rowdy, staff are generally friendly, service is prompt and the best is, they will BBQ, cut the meat and serve them to you! Not to mention that their dishes are mostly delicious, of course! I simply cannot resist their cinnamon ginger cold tea which they will serve when you ask for the bill.

Just can't stop visiting them!

Just cross the bridge and you will be there =D
If you're taking by buses, either you head to Bukit Panjang LRT and transfer to bus 176 at the bus interchange. You will take around 1 hour or 1 1/2 hour to reach there. Alight at the stop at Haw Par Villa STN and you'll be there. If you're taking the buses from Clementi MRT, head to the bus interchange and take the bus 175 and approximately 12 stops. Then alight at Haw Par Villa STN.

When you enter Ju Shin Jung, the waitress and waiter will greet you friendly in basic korean. Then you will be guided to yr table or if you prefer the traditional shoes off experiences, you could request for it. One thing not to forget to mention and to be complimented, although they used gas flames to heat up the coals, but using coal for barbecuing is really good. It gives the food a smokey flavor, that's what I think in my opinion.

But my friend and I prefer the normal ones. We were given the menu and it was well detailed. There are many kind of meat that you can choose from to be barbecue. There were like Wagyu Beef Striploin, Black Pork collar, Prawns and many more. If you want to have a casual meal instead, choose the soups or noodles or the steamboats. I choose the lunch buffet cause at the time we arrived, it was available. The buffet timing is around 12pm-2.30pm but the last order is at 2pm. After that, they will close down for a break. The lunch buffet is quite simple. You're given 4 choices of the meat, Pork collar, Pork Belly, Marinate Pork and Marinate Chicken. If you're hungry for beef, you might have to order that separately which means additional charges. Beside the meat, you are given one choice of the dish that you like from the soups and noodles. If i did not remember wrongly, there were soya bean soup (which was what we ordered), bibimbap (we ordered that too), Somyun, mulnaeng, binaeng, soondubu? I don't remember much sorry.

After we ordered the choice of our meat which was pork belly and marinate chicken. The table was filled with quite a lot of side dishes!

The side dishes are refillable so feel free to ask for refills. The banchans were delicious, there was bean sprouts, spinach, tofu jeon i tink?, of course Kimchi that was spicy and well marinated I really love it, there was this side dishes that had onions soaked in some sauce that was extremely refreshing and delicious, today they had pumpkin porridge which was kind of sweet for me but my friend liked it, chilled tofu with sauce (it was really delicious and very very spicy), salad with thousand island dressing, anchovies, and cold seaweed soup which was sour but very delicious too. There will be a row of vegetables placed at the side of the table so do feel free to eat them.
Finally the arrival of the meat. Trust me, the pork belly were fresh not frozen so is the chicken. The waitress helped us to cook our meat but i wanted to do it myself. She was nice as she cooked the meat for us and placed it in a bowl for the cooked meat only.

Important advice, if you're there to eat plenty of meat, don't eat anything in the morning or before the visit. Or else you're gotten be full by the time you finish half of the portion of the meat. Or even better, ask more friends to join you for the meal.
When the meat are being cooked, you could enjoy the choice of the dish you chose. We ordered bibimbap which the waitress helped us to divide it into 2 portion for sharing and the soya bean soup was good. It had a very strong taste and flavour to it. If you like miso soup for the Japanese cuisine, you would probably like soya bean soup =) Enjoy the side dishes =)
If you want to make yr meal healthier, do a wrap if you like. Use any vegetable leaves as a base, then place a slice of the meat that is cook. then place any side dishes onto the meat or the sauces provided or even better, place a slice of kimchi on the meat. Wrap it all up and stuff it into yr mouth in one go! Try to take two bites if the wrap is too big or else it will not appealing if you spit the wrap out or the wrap is dangling out of yr mouth
You could try to grill the garlic and place it in the wrap too =)

After all those eating of the delicious meat, the dessert will be followed by. We were served with watermelons that were cut into the shape of a heart which was cute and we were served this drink that I personally like it a lot.

I have no idea what was the drink but it was really really good. My friend suspect that it was sparkling juice but I wasn't sure. You got to try it if you go Ju Shin Jung. =)
Then after all the eating, you will see two coins at the side of the table in a small plate. Do not be fooled. I thought it was a refreshment sweet or a sweet to get rid of the bbq smell in the mouth and almost ate it. It is actually a pressed tissue that requires water so it will absorb and turn into a wet tissue. Perhaps most of you have used it before.

The bill was fair enough.

Each adult is $29, the towel and the tea and the water was $2. And the GST and service charge was $10.62 which is considered expensive for us. Each of us paid $35.30 which the total bill was $70.60. Fair enough for such fresh meat, good environment and good service =D
Even better when you're about to leave the restaurant, they will give you the Real sweets for you if you like to eat it or just to get rid of the bbq smell. Relax, the restaurant vacuum system is good so you would smell like a roasted meat after you leave the restaurant =D

Out came all the side dishes - tofu, pumpkin custard, different kinds of kimchi, anchovies, soup, etc. There's so many of them... but I honestly didn't care for the taste of most of them. The soup was very sour, the pumpkin custard was very sweet for an appetizer, and the fried dumpling things were cold and soggy. I remember them being a lot better the first time I ate here

The meat of course was very good. The bulgogi beef is lean but well marinated, and so yummy wrapped up in lettuce with some chili sauce. The staff cook it for you and cut it up, so you can enjoy your drinks and chat.

Tuesday night is apparently 50% off all drinks, so our jug of Tiger Beer was a bargain $13. They also provide water and cold tea free of charge.

I still liked it (and service is very good), but it just wasn't as good as I remember.

Suddenly a waitress appeared with a gazillion plates till our table was full to overflowing. So much for a simple meal! I guess when you order the grilled meats, all the side dishes are included. There were loads, from two different types of kimchi, cold tofu, ikan bilis, to a sweet potato salad and a sweet fritter of sorts.
he cabbage kimchi was excellent lightly spicy and garlicky, and perfect with hot white rice. The tofu was good too, as was the stir fried bean sprouts. On hindsight, since all these are included with the grill, the prices aren’t that astronomical after all.
I dare say that I enjoyed this a lot

We ordered some meat and the waitress started to bbq them for us, so that you can be free to try out their side dishes. As with most korean food, it is a bit spicy so we were glad when we have a sip at our cold green tea. The BBQ meat was tender and we just love it wrapped together with the cabbage. It created a different texture in your mouth, so tender and sweet.

The service of the staff was good but with the BBQ on going at all the tables, the place could be a bit stuffy. Overall, I will still go back for the good food but do note the meat does not come cheap, depending on the type.

I visited this restaurant for a 2nd time for my friend's bday celebration. Previously, we had went to the branch at East Coast Park for Xmas celebration 2 yrs ago. Well, food standards didnt change much and I had a great night pigging korean food!Firstly, i was seriously amazed by the amount of side dishes such as kimchi, cabbages, tofu, tao geys (bean sprouts), onions, and lots more that were presented once we ordered our food!! I visited this restaurant for a 2nd time for my friend's bday celebration. Previously, we had went to the branch at East Coast Park for Xmas celebration 2 yrs ago. Well, food standards didnt change much and I had a great night pigging korean food!

Firstly, i was seriously amazed by the amount of side dishes such as kimchi, cabbages, tofu, tao geys (bean sprouts), onions, and lots more that were presented once we ordered our food!! They tasted mostly sour and salty. Good to pair these side dishes(or ingredients) with the main courses. We ordered beef, chicken & pork for the meat. We felt that the BBQ meat tasted somewhat similar to local satay, but however it still retain some kind of korean aroma in it. We wrapped the meat with cabbages and veges that was served on a big long plate. It felt good eating like this as the taste of vegetables n meat were well balanced. It somehow also gave people the non-oily feel having to eat with vegetable wraps.

For the beef and chicken, the waitress bbq-ed it religiously and helped us to serve in a bowl. There was one mushroom with each meat! It was juicy. However when it came to the last bbq-ed meat - pork, the waitress forgot to help us served so we had to do some hands-on before it became chao-ta (burnt)!

Green tea was served free flow in bottles and i drank a lot cuz some of the food were spicy. (such as the pork) It's always the best drink to go along when eating 'heaty' BBq-ed food!

p.s:We were all fascinated with the coin sized cotton that will evolved into towels after pouring some water on it!
