The meal cost us about (~S$69). It was about S$23 per pax. We had 3 adults. The dim sum dishes were delicious especially the Braised Fish Maw with Prawn Paste, Baked Crispy Milk Encrusted Char Siew Bun, and Custard Bun (Liu Sha Bao). The ingredients are very fresh. The prawns used were fresh and crunchy. The place is not very accessible. You will need to either drive or take cab there. It is great for family or friends gatherings. I will certainly be back again.

A lovely weekend and have a great gathering with a girl friend to have a feast at my favourite Seafood restaurant. Restaurant is cooling and very comfortable. Service was fast and friendly too. The chilli gravy is sweet and not too oily, which is very delicious. The crab meat is very soft as well. Portion is very generous and definitely good to serve both me and my friend. For the price of $50 per big pot, is very value for money.

I don't have many photos of the dimsum @ jumbo but the place is really good man! Not one of the places that go on many of the internet nowadays, but it is a reliable place for dimsum, where the food is of high quality! Try the salted egg yolk bun here! It packs in a real punch! It has a good amount of saltiness to it, and is real flowy as well! The XO Sauce carrot cake is one of my favourites as well so please do try it!

Last night, my friend decided to go for dinner, so she recommended Jumbo's Restaurant in the Safra resort and spent a great evening with her in this restaurant.

When we arrived at the restaurant and were seated, I already knew that the food was excellent.

This dining experience will always keep in my mind because "Everything was quick and the food was great!".

We started with the pumpkin seafood soup, then sambal kankung, salted egg prawn and topped off our meal with the fried rice. It was a delicious meal. I would highly recommend the dining experience for the food and the service at Jumbo's because most of the chef and crews are formerly from Serangoon Gardens Country Club

(Reason:
1. Jumbo Serangoon Restaurant's last day of operations was on the 5th of October 2010.
2. Council Member of Sunglade, my ex-colleagues, repainting contractor and me went Jumbo Serangoon Restaurant specifically for the famous chilli crab during lunch time in the year of 2009.
3. Great service, the waiters all had earpieces on, which was pretty cool and I liked the way they communicated.).

In fact, the restaurant manager also requested us to visit their next nearest outlet at the Singapore Indoor Stadium.

I rated this restaurant a "4" for the food only.

Well worth a visit!

Nestled among the greens of the peaceful Safra Country Club, the restaurant was packed with foodies going for Jumbo’s Tim-Sum. The menu displayed an arrary of mouthwatering dishes. Nestled among the greens of the peaceful Safra Country Club, the restaurant was packed with foodies going for Jumbo’s Tim-Sum. The menu displayed an arrary of mouthwatering dishes.

Amongst those was the recommended Deep-fried Scallops @ S$18, which looked good in the menu. The plate of Scallops were stuffed with Chinese Pear & glazed with Plum Wine. The Scallops, came drenched in mayonnaise, tasted sweet & flavourable, though a far cry from the pix in the menu.

The Shark’s Fin with Crabmeat was pathetic, but then again, what can one expect from just S$14 a bowl.

Another recommended dish by the Manager was the Deep-fried Tilapia, which we ordered with an unanimous vote. The freshwater fish weighing 800g @ S$32, was deep-fried till crispy, accompanied by the Nonya Sauce. The fish tasted bland but it went very well with the tangy sauce, which was a little sweet & sour, with a tinge of lemongrass.

We ordered the Silver Fish @ S$8, which was served in a basket. It was a let-down.The portion was generous but too much batter & oily.

The Homemade Tofu @ S$14 is worth trying. The healthy Spinach Beancurd was topped with a mixture of mushrooms which makes the dish especially tasty.

Since this is a famous seafood restaurant, one naturally can’t go without ordering crabs. We ordered ours cooked in the pepper & salt style, instead of the usual chilli or black pepper. We wanted something different. Well, this dish was just normal, nothing to shout about.

I like the Mango Pudding. The diced mango bites were sour, so it blended well with the pudding.

Overall, food was just so-so. Service wasn’t commendable either. No one change our plates throughout our lunch. Maybe they were too busy coping with the crowd.

Well, I wouldn’t mind having lunch there after a game of golf or if I’m staying at the resort. I definitely won’t travel all the way to Changi just to eat at Jumbo.
