Yet another Lao Ban wannabe. This one is quite similar except that Lao Ban (on a good day) is smoother in texture and less sweet. The almond flavour is a let down, with the almond taste barely distinguishable. The original one balanced the soya taste well with the coffeemate inside the pudding itself. Both the almond and the original costs 1.50 which seems to be the standard price.

Tasted the durian beancurd $2.20 and thoroughly enjoyed the durian flavor as it has very good texture, fragrant and does not taste syrupy. Can taste the texture as it seems blended and made from the durian fruit. Get a few takeaway tarpows, and was tempted with their Buy 10 Get 1 Free deal! Just had the original flavour after lunch, tastes great! Smooth! can tell that it has more flavourful and more beancurd content and super smooth when scooped.

Tried the tauhuey. Thought it would be like laoban. But i was so wrong!! It tasted really horrible and the taste was just so off. I guess they added too much ingredients and chemicals that it doesnt taste like tauhuey. More like some disgusting gross puddng thingy. Realised they have almond flavour as well. But i guess it wouldnt be as good since the original was horrible. Do not try it.

The beancurd here comes surprisingly close to the taste and texture of lao pan beancurd, and for those who stay in the west and are reluctant to travel far to old airport road just for a taste of that, this stall is a good substitution. The original and the almond flavors ones cost the same, $1.50 each, while the durian one cost $2. I have tried both of the former, but am not courageous enough to go for the third. The almond taste is not over powering, which is a good thing, since i was afraid th

The almond taste is not over powering, which is a good thing, since i was afraid that it might taste like almond pudding. As for the original, i would prefer a stronger soya taste, but it is fine too.

This organic beancurd from Kampong Boy is something which I will recommend one to try. It tastes good and is value for money. The original and almond flavour beancurd only cost $1.50 each. For those who love durian, you may also like to try the durian flavour beancurd ($2). However, I understand from the shop owner that this beancurd can only be served chill (i.e. hot / warm beancurd is not available).

I have discovered another yummilicious Almond Milkcurd and it is here at Kampong Boy. When I walked past it, there was a steady stream of people ordering their beancurd and that is surely a good sign of good food I'm into Almond milkcurd at the moment and this is one is delicious! It just slid down my throat with its soft texture and there was a good almond flavour, not strong nor bitter. Better and cheaper than the Momo dessert I reviewed at Ghim Moh
