Chance upon a Killiney kopitiam at marina square. The shop is quite small at one corner of marina square. Have bought the set lunch from this killiney outlet and was really glad that I have tried it. Mee Siam with a waffle plus a scoop of ice cream cost $12.30. Price is reasonable and portion is quite generous as well. Mee siam was delicious and the gravy was spicy and appetitzing. Fish cakes and boiled egg are fresh and chewy. The waffle is very frsh and crunchy and full of yhe butter fragrant. Ice cream is smooth and not too sweet. Restaurant is clean and service is friendly.

I wanted to have breakfast at the Big M but I lost my vote to the majority. Hence, we settled for breakfast at Killiney Kopitiam @ Marina Square. Each meal set comes with coffee or tea. While waiting for Interview, I drop by Killiney Kopitiam to had my breakfast.Compare with Ya Kun and Toast Box, there's a big gap on their kaya toast but is still great. Their toast is always slightly crispy and soft on the inside. It is well coated with egg and fried to give it a nice aroma and entice you to dig in.They sells lots of other local dishes such as chee cheong fun, nasi lemak, lontong, mee siam, mee rebus.Overall really enjoyable experience at this place.

Because of my friend's recommendation, I decided to try the mee robus from this cafe. The environment of this cafe is cooling and spacious. THeir mee robus was suppose to be one of the best seller here, which to me I think the taste was alright only. THe peanut gravy was abit too diluted and not much taste. The noodles were chewy and portion is generous. The service staffs' here are also quite prompt in clearing the tables once you have completed your food.

If you want to try Killiney, dont bother coming during lunch hour. Looong que and other people, usually the office people, are like walking around like hawks seeing whoever that is about to be done. Not a comfortable position to be that person! So I tried their Mee Rebus, must say its just average to me. No big of deal. Killiney always reminds me of their coffee and breakfast set. It's quite amusing to find two half boiled eggs in a waffle set but that is what Killiney offers. The waffle with maple syrup is really yummy. If only they offers the whole big round of waffle cause I can't get enough of it. The service here is not that well. When the staff passed me the half boiled eggs, he did not passed me the pepper and soy sauce and I had to get it from another table.

Given that the queue is kinda long during lunch time, I would have expect that the food is good. Unfortunately, I am disappointed as the fish fillet with fried rice doesn't taste good. The fish is too oily and the rice is tasteless. I need to get chilli from the waiter so as to make it tasty (lucky the chilli tastes quite good). Mee Siam has always been a favourite local dish. I enjoyed the sweet and sour sensation. I have recently discovered that the Killiney Kopitiam serves one of the better Mee Siam in town. The sauce has the right balance of sweet and sour taste. It served with a hard-boiled egg together with chive added and lime aside. The lime ehhanced the overall taste nicely. The portion is a bit too small so not very filling.

I simply love hokkien mee !! the first thought always comes up to mind when i step into a food court will be hokkien mee. i love the saltiness of it accompanied with the lime. i must have it with chilli because it just adds on to the tastiness ! they usually have a few prawns added to it, the smell of the dish is just marvelous !

Killiney used to serve the normal toasts and drinks, but now, seeing the fierce competition, they have stepped up their game by adding a whole new range of western food to their menu, which is pretty surprising. Over here, you can have grilled chicken sandwich with fries for breakfast if you wish, or have french toast with maple syrup, and I have tried their cheese stuffed toast, and it is absolutely fantastic, wholesome, savoury and sweet at the same time. I love spicy foods and i love mee siam especially. I was with friends to have lunch at Killiney Kopitiam. I tried their mee siam for the first time. The serving was very little but it was nice to eat. The sauce got a balance of sweet and sour. The bee hoon not too soft in the texture. The only pity is not very filling. I will need 2 bowls of mee siam to fill up my hungry stomach. It is a good eat.

Killiney Kopitiam has grown to become quite a franchise since the days when they were actually located at Killiney. Although Killiney is know for it's coffee and toast, they do sell local fare like curry chicken rice and mee siam. I order a ice lemon tea together with the curry chicken rice. The ice lemon tea was a bit strong and tasted somewhat bitter. The curry chicken tasted good but the portion was small.
