Recently we had been quite fond of having bite sized paus for breakfast as it allowed us to enjoy more flavours at one go. My mother got two of these paus from the nearby hawker center for me as my breakfast. She got the coffee pau and the tau sa pau for me. Each costs 70 cents. The pau is slightly bigger than what I would have preferred. When I peeled open the pau, the pau exterior to the filling was around 7:3 ratio. The filling was quite sweet in my opinion. I would have liked the tau sia filling to be less sweet. The coffee pau filling is also quite sweet, though not as sweet as the tau sa filling probably because the coffee taste is bitterish by nature. I thought these paus are just average as I had better ones before.

After trying out those flowy custard paus, I was keen to try on a more economical custard pau to see how it was like since I have never tried one before. The custard pau for Kimly is marked with a green dot for easy identification. I took away one home and steamed it hot the next day. The pau skin is quite ok, not too tasteless. The custard, of course, isn't those flowy custard since its just custard powder, but they also added some corn kernels to give it more bite and texture. I found the cust

IT's a big chicken pau. Really big, satisfying big. I ate it cold but it was acceptable. There's soup in it and well minced chicken meat. Really big serving for me ( since i ate it after my meal-consider it my tim sum)so i shared it with my dad. I just hope i have eaten it when it's hotter. But still nice.

One of my eateries for snack choices. Bought chives pork dumplings, prawn dumplings and peanut balls during my last visit. The dumplings taste nice when they are hot. Reheat them when they turn cold as the skin will start to shrivel and turn dry. The skin of most peanut balls is quite thick, and I have to bite through in order to get to the filling; this is the same for Kimly's peanut balls. Remember to stop by for some snacks, especially the dumplings!
