Was here for a company dinner so obviously, this was not a conscious choice on my part. It's situated within Park Mall which gets really quiet and dim at night but surprisingly, there were quite a lot of people who were here. I started off with the usual cold items i.e. sushi, seafood and salads. The mussels were OK but the sushi was rather disappointing and didn't taste as fresh as I would have wanted. Moving on to the dim sum and snack items, although there was a decent selection, I thought that there weren't many items which caught my fancy. It was as if nothing really tasted horrible and yet nothing could be considered as delicious.

I didn't like the chili crabs but found the deep fried buns better. Strange when you come to think of it because the side dish got into my good books rather than the main ingredient. The other meat dishes were mediocre. As for the famed barbecue meats, the queue was pretty long and I didn't want to wait for that so I skipped this section.

To end the evening, I had porridge which was really not what I would eat in most situations. I thought of using this to clear the saltiness that had built up over the evening but was unsuccessful.

Considering the price of around $30 in town, the spread is decent. However, more can be done about the quality so that it feels like a much better deal. Service was relatively quick i.e. clearing of plates was efficient.

I went to Kublai khan for buffet with my family. It was my first time being there and it will definitely not be my last. The food was really good, the buffet spread was awesome, there were poached tiger prawn, crayfish, mussels, scallop in shell, chilli crab, cereal prawn, sambal clam and many more. The seafood was so fresh, sweet and juicy. the chilli crab was cooked absolutely deliciously. You can taste the juiciness of the crab. I love the cereal of the prawn. It is so crispy and buttery. Rea

My first time to visit their restaurant. Their mongolia fried meat really amazed me.Very big pan and big utensil to cook the meet. One best thing is, you choose your own portion of meat and vegetable, as well as sauce too. The amount of food is control by you so won't be wasted. The meat is cooked just nice and not overcooked. The chef cooked quite fast so even is ling queue, they still manage to serve you very efficient.

Food lovers will always love buffet for you can try different varieties of food , chosen this restaurant as they stated 150 choices of food and Mongolian BBQ . I just tried some of the food like the shark fin soup ( quite yummy ) , chilli crab ( not fresh ) , satay ( the meat was cold and hard , but if you dip into the hot sauce it will taste ok ) , some fried food and dim sum.. The only thing is that really worth trying is the Mongolian BBQ , whereby you can chose your own meat and vegetable plus sauce and the chef will help you to cook . Service is not that ok as the staff came to clear only when our table is full and need me to keep looking at his direction so I can call him to clear , a few times I saw that he saw that there's more than one plate which he can clear he didn't instead he keep clearing one table of four at the corner . Don't think I will go back again as the food is just average seriously and thumbs down for the service.. just one staff to bring down the impression of a restaurant .

my company have promotion for this buffet, there's 20% off if i show them my staff pass,so i asked my friend there for dinner
but was really totally disappointed
as what i saw from website this was internation buffet, but when i reached there's not mucch food left
we love japanese food, but the sushi over there was really limited choice,
for fondue & oyster we got to wait for 30mins to 1 hour for them to restock
the only food that i felt was nice was the prawn tempura, prawn very fresh & very crispy
so we ordered about 4-5plates
1 person about $25++,i don't think it worth the price, for the price can go to other place for nicer buffet

fantastic saba grill fish that you must order. The fish is very fresh. It grilled until a bit burnt over the skin and I like it! The fish meat is tender and juicy. It taste great without any sauce. The only problem is it taste quite oily. Overall it stil taste great and strongly recommended.

Whenever we take a bus from the bus stop near Park Mall,we'll always see a Mongolian Buffet signboard.

So one day,we decided to head there & to try to find the place.

It was near $30 per pax.
They charge me an adult price instead of student even though I told them that I was student when I reached the place.

However, the quality of food & customer service made me decide to forgo the student price.

The food was great!A great variety of seafood, love the crayfish, mussels, crabs(YUMMY!) & prawns.

It's rare seeing crayfish as part of a buffet.
It was good.

They had chinese food such as noodle, some dishes as well.

One of their highlight is the mushroom soup.
It was served on a heated pan which made the soup stay hot.

Alot of people loved the soup.Queue were formed waiting for it.

One of the key thing that set apart it from normal international buffet is the mongolian style meat/vegetables.

We were allowed to pick vegetables & meat that we like as well as the sauce & they will be cooked in a mongolian way which is to use this long sweeping thing & flip the ingredients on top of a big stove.
It's hard to describe but that's how mongolian culture is.

However, the mongolian styled meat wasnt very special in terms of taste.

I would definitely go back for a fix of seafood and mushroom soup cravings.
Customer service was great.
There was quite a big crowd there despite being not very visible to public.

They had this room where tourists group went in for their meals.

Overall, food was pretty good & ambience was ok but too noisy due to crowd.More for group gathering.

I was at Park Mall shopping for furniture when I chanced upon this hidden on the 4th floor. Hungry, we just stepped in. After all, the name is so familiar, named after the famous mongolian warrior Hu Bi Lei. They had well advertised few years back. We wanted to try for novelty.

Type of food: They have a widespread - from mongolian, to japanese cuisine, seafood cuisine, chinese cuisine.

Ambience: I call it classical chinese. Read: a little old outdated. However, there is a central kitchen with glass panel where they cook for you the mongolian food. You choose the meat (eg pork, chicken, mutton), and some vege, and they fry it on a hotplate.

There are chinese nationals eating and talking loudly, seemingly having just knocked off from work.

Taste: there is nothing really special. The mongolian meat is a little salty. I don't remember the taste now - which speaks volumes. The japanese and seafood cuisine helped me fill my stomach. The rice is cold. The seafood is still okay, with large bright prawns.

Cost: Not cheap. $30++

Overall experience: Not a delightful experience. I didn't even feel the atmosphere of a mongolian restaurant at all. How should it be? Ahh, that's the problem, they couldn't even convey this. Much is missing. It's like a normal buffet which is in this case not well done.

Kinda of boring and feel it's a waste of money.
