Plan for breakfast before heading over to pulau ubin for cycling outing! As this place has been renovated, a new Changi Village Hawker Centre emerges with plenty of seats , cleaner and brighter. I ordered Fried Carrot Cake (Black) and friendly uncle got it done and served fast! The soft carrot cake with mouthwatering aroma, nice bitter sweet and charred taste. There were generous portions of eggs hidden under the carrot cake and nice spring onions on the top.

I was at changi village hawker centre the other day and decided to get oyster omelette from Kun Kee. The oyster omelette was better this time round; it was fried till crispy, although still a little oily. As for the oysters themselves, they were still quite plump and fresh. It costs around $5 for a plate which is pretty average. They have carrot cake as well, would recommend the white carrot cake.

The newly renovated Changi Village Hawker Centre seems much brighter and the environment slightly more pleasant although the rustic feel seems missing. Anyway, we tried the white carrot cake today. It is excellent. The carrot cake was nicely fried till golden brown and very crispy. It is also not overwhelmed by flour and stuffed full with carrots. They were also relatively generous with the eggs. Will be back

This seems to be a very popular stall. When I step into the hawker centre most tables are eating this dish. As with tables there were also queue at the stall. I ordered the black version; the amount of sweet sauce cooked with it seems to be generous. It tasted very sweet and fragrant. The huge chunk of cake fried with eggs and sweet sauce makes it taste heavenly. They do add a spoonful of chilli sauce by the side for those who want it spicy.
