Indeed there were plenty places selling Mixed Rice at Toa Payoh, but not for Brown Rice. I found it, Lai Xi was the one offering healthier option. The queue was for sure, especially peak lunch hour. Such a pure decent selection, it was guilty-free meal. I seldom ate so much of vegetables, maybe it was a good start. Beansprouts, Broccoli and Bitter gourd Tofu, they were all cooked well. Not too salty, yet every dish also tasteful. I wondered why mostly of the stall owners tend to give girls a smaller portion if compared to guys. I can eat a lot thus I asked for more rice. It normally will charge at higher price for Brown Rice, yet it was very cheap, only $2.50 for three veggies ordered.
