I was wandering around the marine parade central hawker center to find something for lunch and this stall's offerings reminded me of the koo Kee Yong tau foo at chinatown. So I decided to give it a try. The portion was reasonable. But I think I would need more noodles! They were quite generous with the minced pork. The noodles were very springy and chewy! Just the way I like them, with the red sweet sauce and the seasoned minced pork. The noodles were at their optimum taste! I enjoyed the noodles more than the YTF ingredients! This green coloured looking fish cake tasted like any normal fish cake but there were prawn chunks in a rectangular fish cake that tasted pretty good. The soup was a bit too flavourful for me which resulted in me looking for a drink to quench my thirst. This would normally cost $3.80 but being that it is the 3rd day of the lunar new year, the prices were increased to $4.80. The shop had a sign printed in mandarin on the signboard but I couldn't read it. Honestly, for almost $5, I would've considered Something else for lunch. But nonetheless, an interesting find in marina parade central! continue reading
