Finally, I got the chance to visit Laksania.Laksania is a place where you can find different kinds of Laksa from Penang, Kelantan, Sarawak as well as local Singapore Laksa. They aim to have an innovative menu, specializing in local and fusion dishes with Laksa leaves. Here the table number display advertising their laksa.I had the Iced Lemongrass Tea drink to pair up with my meal as I felt that they are of the best combination, enhancing the taste further.Originated from Borneo Island, Sarawak Laksa is a less spicier and less coconut version of our local Laksa. It comes in shredded chicken and prawn broth paired with rice vermicelli. To achieve such soup base, more than 6 hours is needed to boil in order to bring out the full sweetness of the chicken and prawns.Besides that, ingredients like shredded chicken, sliced prawns, fresh coriander, beansprouts, lime and homemade belachan chili are served on used.It was my first time trying Sarawak Laksa, it had a special tangy taste added with a little bitterness inbetween but the aftertaste was ok. Overall, the service is quite attentive and waiting time is very short. This place serve a one stop place for laksa lovers, gathering all laksa dishes together. I dont mind going back to try other kinds of laksa. For more reviews, visit www.umakemehungry.comRead More

This plate of delicious and filling laksa goreng costs $8.50 a plate - which is worth the money! There's a hint of sweetness and spiciness and it is also rich in the laksa flavour. The prawns are shelled and fresh. This is definitely one of the best dishes at Laksania!Read More

Laksa fried rice costs $11.50 and is served in a hot stone bowl. There was not much laksa taste but the rice still tasted good. The grains of rice were quite soft and there were some fishcakes and 3 fresh prawns in it. 3 pieces of Chicken satay cost $4.20. The satay dip had a heavier coconut Taste and was not spicy. It went well with the tender chicken satay although I still prefer the peanut sauce.Read More

This is the Kelantan Laksa ($7.50) among all the other laksa options. I decided to try this as it sounds different and I've never had this before. At first, this laksa looks really unassuming. It looked as if it was just noodles and cucumber strips. However, if you mix the noodles up, you will realize that there is plenty of fish meat at the bottom. Upon mixing the fish meat evenly, the soup is not that watery anymore. To me, this laksa is not spicy at all and children could even eat it too. For the side dish, I got the Laksania Chicken Satay (3 pcs) for $3.90. It was so good! The meat was extremely soft and had the perfect blend of laksa marinate in it. I love it! The satay also comes with cucumbers, onions and a dip. Read More

Pass by this restaurant which is specialise in all kinds of laksa dishes. Impressed by its neat, simple and clean layout of this restaurant. Not much choices can be found in their food menu. I have ordered their Kelantan laksa, which in less than ten minutes was served to my table by a friendly service staff. The laksa gravy is filled with the nice fragrant from the yellow ginger and shredded fish. Every mouthful can taste the fresh fish meat in in the soup base. The thick rice noodles are also quite chewy with lots of fresh thinly sliced cucumber strips on it, which added that crunchy feel when you eat it. Have it with their sambal chilli will give you that extra kick as well! Read More

So glad that there is a Laksania outlet in the West which is near my place! I got my usual Laksa Goreng ($around $8.90~$9.90) order. When I first tried it I was hooked onto it because it was so special.. dry laksa! Even though the "chu mee fen" was bland and tasteless, the whole dish tasted flavourful because of the laksa spices. It was moist and not dry too. The prawns were fresh. I also got a 4 piece chicken wing as it only costed $2 with the purchase of a main. Juicy and delectable chicken wing, worth the money!Read More

My dinner at Laksania was a Fried Mee Rebus and a cup of ice tea. The Fried Mee Rebus was slightly oilier and it taste like normal fried sotong noodles, just that there wasn't any sotong added to it. The noodles is served hot and it was nice initially (despite the oiliness), and the seafood was fresh and juicy! :) However, after minutes placing under the air-con, the noodles turned cold and went soggy. The texture totally changed. Next comes the iced tea. It tastes like some Thailand drink and I never really enjoyed it, no sugar/ creamer or condensed milk was added to it, all in all it just tastes weird, and leaves a bitter notes behind. :( Despite the long waiting queue outside, the serving time of the food was fast! It is encouraged to visit them during non peak hours! Read More

This is my first try at Laksania. It was quite a long wait, i took around 30 minutes before i can get my seats. So do avoid going on weekdays or weekend dinner. First, the Laksa; i really like the strong and thick soup of it, the spiciness level was acceptable; not too spicy for an adult. The noodles was springy and the tao pok was very juicy. The whole dish was served hot accept the hard boiled egg, which I think it will prefer it be hot. Then it will be a perfect dish of laksa! :) Next is the Strawberry Tea, it is my very first time trying out this new drink. Well, it tasted like those tea you could easily find it on Thailand street, it is slightly sour and creamy. I find it weird but you guys might enjoy it as I am not a strawberry lover. Read More

Laksania offers a range of different food consisting of the local delight-Laksa! Tried the baked rice here and it is not bad. Love how the cheese oozes with every scoop of the rice. The rice has a strong lakse aroma and is really delicious with the cheese. There is slight laksa gravy in the rice making the rice moist and so delicious. worth a try as it is quite unique. prices are affordable and worth the money.Read More
