Was at Bugis+ when this serious mouth itch strikes. So decide to go into Laksania to cure that itch.Order a Jumbo Size Laksa Goreng with Iced Lemon Tea. Was a little disappointed when the Jumbo size is not as "Jumbo" as I imagine it to be. It just manage to fill nearly 3/4 of my tummy. For taste wise, it was a tiny bit salty. If the taste of laksa is stronger, it will be better. The prawn and cockles are fresh. But the noodles are abit hard. For the Iced Lemon Tea, nice blend of sourness and sweetness, but, too much ice is in the glass. It diluts the taste too fast.Overall, the bills comes up to $12 inclusive of GST. Cant say really worth it as the jumbo portion is not jumbo enough. But due to the uniqueness, it reach the borderline. If anyone want to the flavor of laksa in other kind of food, this is the place to go. continue reading

This restaurant is a social enterprise that was started in 2008. It specialize in local and fusion dishes based on the unique and flavorful herb, laksa leaf. The outlet in Bugis is a open concept restaurant and has quite limited dining area.Laksa Goreng ($8.50)A 'dry' version of the Singapore Laksa noodle is fried for an intense flavour with Laksa gravy and accompaniments like prawns, fish cake, cockles, taupok, egg and laksa leaves. Although a bit dry, the noodles is very tasty and filled with items in it.Kelantan Laksa ($8.50)Alluring flavours of tamarind, lemongrass, ginger flower and a touch of palm sugar pamper the fish and coconut enriched broth for this uniquely Kelantan creation. Those who cannot take too spicy would like this as some recommended this as the non spicy laksa. The broth is very rich and thick with the fish meat. It is my first time eating the pink ginger flower in shredded form.Mom and I shared the following dishes :Laksania Chicken Satay ($4.20/ 3pcs)The satay is served with a unique laksa dip. The chicken tastes a bit dry to me.Vegetarian Stuffed Taupok ($4.20/ 6pcs)I do not quite take to this quite there is quite a MSG taste to it.Rainbow Connection ($6.50)The green coloured chendol worm looking jelly is very soft and taste homemade. The grass jelly too has a homemade taste as it is very soft. Overall it looks like a big plate of ice kacang with the items all placed out of the shaved ice. Good for sharing as everyone like different items. For drinks, we haveLemongrass Tea ($3/ hot)The lemongrass taste is strong without overpowering.Gula Melaka Tea ($5.30)This drink tastes like a gula Melaka milkshake as it is thick and creamy, and full of the gula Melaka's taste.Overall the food is nice. The staff is also quite friendly, packing the satay with sauce separated for takeaway as I could not finish it. continue reading

Have been here twice and quite like the food here. Service is ok, but its quite a small place. The Seafood Laksa Hotpot is very worth and filling. Lots of ingredients in a very well cooked, rich and aromatic laksa hotpot, eating the laksa gravy with the white rice is really shiok! I also like the Laksa Goreng, the fried laksa noodles are springy, flavorful and mildly spicy, it is my favorite! My mum like their Singapore Laksa most. We tried the Laksa Fried Rice too, but didnt like it. Nothing special and no much laksa taste, the chicken wings not very nice too, its quite a disapointment. Lasagne was nice but not filling enough, too small portion haha!Quite a good place to settle a quick and filling lunch. I recommend ordering the laksa Hotpot if you are very hungry continue reading

Went to laksania and there weren't many people on a weekday for lunch. They have a students promotion with laksa and free flow of drinks at less than $10 each! I think the laksa portion is a bit small for that price, but I have tried laksa baked rice before and it was really nice! Don't order the laksa fries though because the sauce if not that nice. continue reading

Spent a good day with friends. Bought $10 for $20 groupon. Finally tried laksania, as I find the original price kind of steep for a normal bowl of laska. Tried the Singapore Laksa, taste not bad, but I prefer the laska gravy to be thicker and richer favour. I also tried their vegetarian laksa goreng that taste better than the normal laska, but kind of dry. It would be better if there is some moist in it. The environment is quite stuffy! continue reading
