I have been eating at this stall regularly. It has been passed down from the father to the son and his wife now. They have always been frying carrot cake and never did have fried oysters on their menu as indicated by the picture submitted by Emunmak. They offer the black and the white version. I always go for the black one. I always requested to have extra chilli and extra preserved radish added at no extra cost. They fried soft and moist carrot cake with a generous bit of egg with dark sweet sauce and served in good portion from $2.50 onward. This is still one of the best fried black carrot cake that i ever eaten.

Lots of beaten eggs are used in this dish which ensure all pieces of carrot cakes are coated with generous amount of beaten eggs on it. The chilli paste is quite spicy so do not take it if you are afraid of too spicy food. Topped with generous amount of chopped spring onions which make the carrot cakes really fragrant and tasty. However I should say the portion is not really generous although the price is not too high. Long queues can be expected during breakfast and lunch hours.

This stall offers the black and the white. But i always go with the black one, asking for extra chye poh. The portion is very generous. The smaller portion is at $2.50 but i always go for the $3.50 one. The right portion to fill up a hungry stomach. The stall used to run by the father but now is in the good hands of the son and his wife. Both of them are very friendly and willingly to accommodate even if you have a special request. This is always on the top of my list for fried carrot cake.

This is another stall with a history.I started eating from this stall when i gotten my first job at Tanjong Pagar more than 10 years ago. The stall was manned by his father then and now, it's handed over to the son and his daughter-in-law. I started eating from this stall when i gotten my first job at Tanjong Pagar more than 10 years ago. The stall was manned by his father then and now, it's handed over to the son and his daughter-in-law. But, you still can see the father, an old man in his 70s helping out at the stall, he might be taking the order, he might be delivering your delicious plate of fried carrot cake or you might be seeing him behind the wok. It always warmed my heart a little, when he smiled at me and saying 'Thank You'. This is what motivated me to keep going back, again and again.

They fried one of the nicest carrot cake in town. Do try it out when you happen to be in town.
