Beef Bibimbap - $13.80Felt kinda cheated for this as there were only a few sliced of beef, with sprouts and cabbage and an egg yolk. Grilled chicken with choices of 2 sides - $16.80 On the contrary, the portion for western food was much bigger! Besides a decent portion of chicken, the sides were so generous that we cant even finished them. Hey, but there is the option of taking just 1 side at a slightly cheaper price.With just a $6 top up, we can also opt for a half pint Hoegaarden, including the flavoured one! A warm hearty restaurant, Lenas Menu was quite extensive from Appetizer all the way to Dessert. From the décor, maybe you will find it was slightly messy because it applied a RANDOM theme. Dont worry, it was still cozy in atmosphere.Crusty light veggies, it was a comforting and soothing dish. Refreshing healthy olive sauce did a good job to highlight the fresh bowl. This was roast chicken with 2 side dishes (parma fries and butter corn) from Lenas. I love the corn as it reminded me of cup corn, and it is tasty when mixed with the huge slab of butter given, combined with the sweet taste of the corn bits. The parma fries were quite normal. I was off work early and decided to have early dinner at Lenas MOF. It is 10mins to 5.30pm and their weekday set lunch menu was still available. I chose to have the Chicken chop pasta $8.90++ (choice of either spaghetti or Penne) and picked the tomato based sauce. I have member card so I ordered ice green tea as my free drink. I liked Italian food, so I went to Lenas to try some of their food out. The experience was unexpectedly very enjoyable! Service : The staff were great, I brought my baby brother over and he was very restless, but the staff were very patient with him. I was very pleased with their service. Our food were brought over quite quickly, so there was no problem with that. :)Food : I ordered a bolognese baked rice. I didn't try anything like that before, so I didn't know what to expect. After I broke down the layer of cheese above the rice, I ate a little from my spoon and then I felt hot tomato sauce go down my throat. It was wonderful. I cleaned up the whole plate. The food was great! Environment/Clean : The lighting was just perfect, a little dim, but it set the atmosphere. It was very clean, spotless in fact. Once I went in, I smelt Italian and Japanese food. Had a wonderful dining experience at the brand new Lenas last week. In was indeed a totally new experience as it was a totally new concept. Lenas used to serve western delights but now, there are other selections in the new menu. Japanese food from MOF menu as well. When we were shown to our seats, we were given 2 sets of menus. From main course to drinks and desserts, we took a long time before we decided as we were spoilt for choices. I wanna eat the spicy miso ramen, katsu don, carbonara and many many more....In the end we decided for hot stone rice. Not the usual ones, but with cheese instead.my friend had a stir fry beef with cheesy fried rice.While I had a sliced pork with cheesy fried rice. What's unique about this dish? Other than being serve on hot stone like Korean style, this dish has lots of other ingredients like sweet corn, carrots, tomatoes, lettuce, cabbages...all the healthy ingredients. Last but not least my favorite pork belly. While hot, the melted cheese are "pulley" yet messy. Rice on the bottom of the pan are slightly burned and crispy, giving out a super fragrant taste. We were quite full after finishing the rice but there's definitely room for dessert. I been wanting to try Japanese dessert from MOF since it's establishment years ago but haven got a chance. Lenas stocks my favourite pasta ever. The Carbonara. I always add an egg for an additional dollar when I dine in at lenas. Their carbonara sauce is rich and really tasty and delicious. This is one of my favourite snack items from this restaurant. The potato is very smooth and moist in texture and is full of the nice fragrant from the different types of seasoning ingredients in it. It has been deep fried till really nice golden brown colour and it is also not too oily nor salty as well. Steak at lenas. I had it in medium rare. The meat was pretty tough for my liking. It was more like medium instead of medium rare. The sauce was a bit bland. All in all, i didn't like it at all. The sides are a tad too dry. There's a slice of tomato at the bottom and some garnishes at the sides, perhaps parsley. Given a choice, i will not order this. Their service was acceptable. First time here at their new outlet in NEX. I had Pan Fried Dory Baked Rice. I decided on this as i love grilled or baked fish and cheese. The fish meat is very tender and the skin is pretty crispy especially at the sides. In fact, it is very flavourful and cooked to absolute perfection. The rice is pretty soft too. i went to lenas with my friends for dessert. I ordered their chocolate and almond dessert pizza. The pizza is the thin crust kind. It is so thin that it tasted a little like biscuit. the chocolate is very sweet, goes well with the pizza. The almond flakes makes the pizza taste very nice, very crunchy. They topped it off with a scoop of ice cream. The ice cream melts on the warm pizza, making it taste very creamy. I love the creaminess of the melted ice cream on the chocolate. My housemate and I didn't want to cook dinner on Saturday, so we headed to Nex. Man. it was crowded on a Saturday night. THey probably had the same agenda as us--which was to have dinner there.there were so many choices, but we couldn't settle on a restaurant. After walking for about an hour, we just chose Lenas.
