As usual, the many offerings in the menu made us spoilt for choice and my colleague and I decided to take the set lunches (SGD$11.90++) - this cold cut salad forming the first part of the meal. The greens comprised of lettuce, cherry tomatoes, onions and slices of ham, topped with thousand island dressing, giving us a crisp, refreshing start to our meal.My colleague's main course of Breaded Chicken Breast topped with chilli and garlic powder and two slices of cheese - he mentioned that while the chicken was crispy and the taste was "not bad", it consisted of too much flour on the breaded layer, and hence, made one feel filled up far too fast. The criss-cross fries were lovely and crispy.I had the Black Pepper Salmon which consisted of a thick strip of grilled salmon fillet, with hot black pepper sauce on the side, served with some vegetable and I added a sunny side up egg for SGD$2.00. The salmon was rather succulent and tasty, and its flavor was further enhanced with the spicy sauce and sweet eggy flavor, of course. For more detailed information and photos, please feel free to visit:http://thearcticstar.blogspot.sg/2014/07/lunch-at-lenas-modern-american-italian.html continue reading

I'm going to the trio-malls in the West too often. But it is indeed the best option because you cannot possibly not find anything in there to suit your taste! What about some of LENAS's desserts - Triple Chocolate Banana Split? While their service is excruciatingly slow (20 minutes! ) for a simple dessert like this, this very chocolatey and age-old-fool-proof combination of a dessert never fails to satisfy my sweet tooth. It is exactly how you would expect it to be. For more food adventures, follow me at http://spherepiece.blogspot.sg/ continue reading

Lenas by Ministry of Food is one of those restaurants that offers a variety fusion food. Their massive menu selection comprises mostly of Japanese-Western fusion showing delicious looking modern and classic dishes like pizzas, pastas and mains to lovely appetizers like bruschetta. The ambience also portrayed a comfortable warm setting that really matches the theme of fusion-dining. My friend and I shared the Tomato Bruschetta, this Italian appetizer was a wonderful start to our appetite as the flavours of fresh tomatoes on crisp-soft bread tasted so amazing! A definite must-order for appetizers. We also shared the Buffalo Wings which was served piping hot, it came with some interesting sweet chilli sauce but the wings were so flavourful on their own that I didn't find a need to dip. It was fried to perfection and wasn't greasy as well. For my main, I decided to go with the Pesto Chicken Pasta. The pesto sauce was the perfect blend of crush garlic and basil among other ingredients and it was very delicious! A healthy and light comfort food indeed! My friend went with the Hamburger Omelette Rice. The omelette was more soft and fluffy than you see it on picture! It's really good and goes especially well with the thick Japanese curry. I didn't try the beef but my friend said she might consider ordering it again, so it must be good! Overall, my dining experience here at Lenas was more than satisfying. The service may not be exceptional but they served all the basic needs we requested. The food will always be the reason for returning! continue reading

Lenas is a part of the MOF group. We decided to eat there because there was a pizza promo going on. Order a large pizza and get a smaller one free. Here's the big pizza. It was thin crust but it felt very home made. Taste wise was okay. This is the free pizza, it is quite okay. But they served it on a very big wooden platter which took up a lot of space on our table. Ordered wedges too. Nothing special about it. Last on the table- pancakes! The banana was not very ripe and does not go well with the ice cream and pancake sadly. If not for my MOF card, I probably wouldn't go Lenas Service was quite slow at this new outlet. continue reading

Tried the grilled fish here at Lena's and it was really good. Love the softness of the fish and the sauce that the fish is drizzled in adds a great flavour to the fish. Love that mixed vegetables comes alongside the fish and this dish is really great and light on the palatte. Fish is not over cokked and not chewy making it a great eat. other dishes such as the pizza were also good. continue reading
