Little Grill is one of my favourite spots for dinner during those days when normal dinner hours had already passed due to the busy schedules I had and I was quite lucky to be just in time for their last order everytime before they called it a day.I haven't been visiting them for years until recently when I found them on instagram which somehow reminded me to visit them again.Little Grill's menu is different from a usual coffeeshop western stall as they have over 20 kinds for us to choose from, besides that each dish is illustrated on its menu with a boosting effect from the signboard's back lights. At times, I find it very hard to decide what's for my meal as every item looks delicious and had that kind of "Come, Eat Me!" expressions.Farm Chicken Chop is one of the dish that topped my list. At one glance, one would have realize that the bread or toast is missing from here. Well, to disappoint some, it is not included.Though the portion had shrunk over the years, the taste remained unchanged. I'm still loving its tantalizing brown sauce that was spreaded on the chicken chop, allowing this essence to be absorbed by the juicy meat.Another hit of my list is its Lemon Butter on its grilled fish. Reasonably fried till golden brown and sparsely dressed with a layer of melting butter, altogether, they lend a good aroma hit in the nose before we gobbled this delicate slab of fillet down. While baked beans and fries as sides were the ordinary, I find that their coleslaw gave a cooling pleasure to the entire plate of "heaty" treats. This simple and straight forward side stands well alone in its mayonnise and salad dressing. And here's the break down cost for individual plate. Payment is to be make upon order and remember to indicate your table number. continue reading

This Western Food Stall at Jurong East Kopitiam had been opened for more than five years.Though the prices had increased, the quantity and quality still remain the same. This time, I ordered a Mixed grilled. At $11.50, the price may not be very affordable for neighbourhood's everyday meal.In this mixed grilled, there was a hotdog, chicken meat, lamb meat and pork meat. All the meat was grilled nicely, however I felt that the hotdog was a bit dry since they deep fried instead of grilling it. continue reading

This Little Grill eating place is near to my workplace, I came here to eat dinner with my loved one. I was really comfortable and really enjoyed my dinner. The Teriyaki chicken was so-so, I don't think is value for money, it cost about $6.30 for a plate and their servings portion is way too small. Honestly though, I think it’s too pricey. The other dishes aren’t too great either. The employees were friendly to recommend their dishes. continue reading

When the store first opened a few years back, it was one of the best places to eat at. Bit by bit, over the months, the quality of the shop has declined. Now, the chef isn't cooking most of the time anymore, the price has jacked up quite a bit and the service provided by the staff is extremely poor, in contrast to the first couple of months when the store first opened. Just for a plate of fried rice, I had to wait for 25 minutes. Yes, an overpriced plate of fried rice with fried chicken wing costing 4 dollars took 25 minutes to be prepared. When I rushed them, they rudely told me "it's like that, some food needs more time to be prepared.". This is an excuse I have heard from them very commonly over the past few months, pretty much a canned excuse for any situation. Whether its grilled fish, pork chops, overpriced steaks and now, even fried rice. Also, the food portions have been getting smaller and smaller over the months, though the price has been increasing. I understand this could be due to inflation, after all, haven't we seen price increases in nearly all food? Not a good comparison in this case though, compared to many other restaurants and shops, this one has been reducing their portions much more. The poor standard of service also stood out a lot. The primary waiter/cashier of the store has a bo-chup attitude to pretty much anything. Any question you direct at him he rudely shrugs it off. He also does possibly one of the dumbest things a waiter can do, he places knives and forks on the table when he can just hand them to you. There was also once he handed me greasy forks and knives, which was also stained by some other gravy or sauce. The bright points are that the food is pretty decent to eat, despite their small portions. Obviously when it first started out, its chef knew what he was doing and managed to gain quite a following. continue reading
