Many fast-food outlets are branching into rice dishes now and LJS is no different. Tried their cajun chicken and while the taste wan't bad, I feel the service is not that great. The rice was a bit hard and the grains were not well separated. The portion is also rather little for the price paid. It could use a bit more side dishes or greens to make the meal more balanced.

Went to Long John Silver for lunch and there was a new addition to the menu! Pacific Grilled Dory with Chilli Crab Sauce! It is under the rice and dine category and i am interested to try it! My friend ate it before and she recommended it! So i ordered this set today.My friends and I went during lunch time hours and the queue was very long! Only one counter was open to serve the customers. Hence, one area of improvement is to open more counters during lunch time.Pacific Grilled Dory with Chilli crab sauce. This set cost $7.60 and comes with steam rice + a choice of side (chose fries) + coke. We waited another 5 mins after ordering for the food to be served. With all the waiting, the food is finally served and is hot, prepared on the spot.The portion of the dory fish was bigger than i expected. Therefore, i think that it is quite worth. The chilli crab sauce was poured over the dory fish and it was awesome when you eat it all 3 together-rice + dory fish and sauce. It really tasted like you are eating the chilli crab, just that it is fish instead. I really recommend this new set to everyone!

My girlfriend and I were actually on the way to Cuppage Plaza to get Wanton Noodles that night. But LJS' ad captured our attention. 2 for $10? Hmmm, why not, right!?Cheap, fast, and will definitely fill our empty stomachs. After all that's what we're looking for!So I proceeded to order our food. I can't clearly remember the names of those meals. There were chips, fish, chicken and shrimp! All fried to perfection. Gold!How I love my junk food gold!Oh did I mention everyting was fresh and crispy?The 'HUSHIES' were awesome! O man, are they some kind of onion donuts!? Definitely a winner!

received the promotion coupon 2 sets for $10.so colleague and i went to try this out. the rendang set.i chose the 1 with chicken.this is the concept of the place.the staff is really nice when i told him less ice for my drink,he really give me less ice , unlike other branches, there's no difference.they have a sauce is taste like sambal chilli,it'll be better if it's spicier. as usual, i always like the prawns, always that 'springy'the chicken is crispy unlike 1 of the branch that i went, it's soft & soggy.after all, it's very worthwhile cox of the price we paid for,and given the portion can fill out stomach on a mid week.
