I'm a huge fan of Beef Pho, but I'm sad to say that the pho was rather disappointing.I think I will try to break it down by what they did right and wrong. What they did right: had the correct noodles, basil leaves, had the lemonWhat was not right: - The soup base while somewhat correct, felt like a vital ingredient was missing that did not allow the pho to hit the spot. - Could have more veggies- There was a lot of noodles- The beef slices were not very thin and was quite chewy..I usually do not

What they did right: had the correct noodles, basil leaves, had the lemon
What was not right:
- The soup base while somewhat correct, felt like a vital ingredient was missing that did not allow the pho to hit the spot.
- Could have more veggies
- There was a lot of noodles
- The beef slices were not very thin and was quite chewy..I usually do not waste my meat, but I was unable to chow down on it. Made me question the freshness of the meat.

If I could, I feel like I would want my money & stomach space back...

Their Som Tum (Papaya salad) looked legit, but I tried a bit and it didn't taste right. The Phad Thai did look to be more authentic...(appearance-wise)
Perhaps offering Thai and Vietnamese cuisine in one stall is too ambitious for them and they should get one cuisine right first.

I was with my wife at Toa Payoh for a health seminar a few weeks back and we dropped by Toa Payoh HDB hub for our lunch first before the seminar. I was feeling quite adventurous so I tried out the Vietnamese food from this stall. The beef horfun caught my fancy so I ordered a bowl of it. It costs me $4.50. The soup looked as if it was very light tasting but in actual fact, the soup is actually rather salty. I just ate the horfun without the soup since it is sodium overdose. The beef are sliced thinly so it is quite tender. However, there are quite a lot of tendons on the sliced beef which made it quite hard to swallow. I would say it is quite a disappointment overall due to the saltiness of the soup and the lackluster beef. Another thing to note is that the soup is rather strong in a spice which I presume is the green leaves on the bowl so the soup is not for everyone.
