Executives love hanging out at ma maison because of its cozy spot. they also offer some great food as well. we had fresh tomato soup that was a great starter to the course.really sour and you can see bits of tomato skin floating around the soup! felt like it helped boost my skin efficacy a lot.beef pasta was presented really nicely.. love that they twirl it. however, i felt that the pasta size was too small. the beef was too hard to chew (medium). would suggest going for medium-rare so that you can chew it better.. definitely red-meat lovers would have a comforting lunch with this.was really surprised that ma maison serves rice that is not japanese rice. I miss the genuine gem texture and plump-size grains.. in fact, they serve rice for $0.50 that tastes just like the rice we order in cai-fan stalls.love how they cook the beef evenly.. pink and slightly red in the center.the plating was fantasting, i have no idea how they made the pattern with the brown sauce with mayonnaise. almost looks like a machine but they probably put in a lot of effort! continue reading

The interior is reminiscent of a cosy European cafe and the food is fabulous. The escargots ($9.80++) were so good that I'm almost unashamed to admit that I poured the remaining garlic butter from the shell into my mouth.I had the squid ink pasta ($16.80++), one of the tastier versions I've had in Singapore. It's doesn't smell bad like others I've tried before and the squid bits were flavourful, wish they had been more generous with that though. My boyfriend had the emu rice ($16.80++), which I tried. The egg was fluffy and soft and the rice were just the right texture.Service in Singapore tends to veer either towards indifference or over the top. But here it was just right. The staff weren't pushy, water was served on arrival and they really made us feel as ease and at home. I'm already looking forward to my next visit. continue reading

I really enjoyed myself at this place. The ambience was EXCELLENT. I really liked the decorations of the place, and the staff was really friendly and easy to call! Although it was the first time i ate escargot, i felt this escargot was really tasty! the garlic and butter was not overwhelming, but complementing the snail. the snail didnt smell weird too. The butter rice was not exceedingly buttery so it was good! but i thought the beef straganov gravy had a weird vinegery taste to it. nevertheless i still enjoyed it thoroughly continue reading

I’m impressed (wow!) upon stepping into the nicely decorated restaurant.First we had the Escargot: baked snail with heavenly scent and taste of garlic butter, the flavorful meat was chewy and delicate. Camembert Cheese Fritters, crispy beer battered and deep fried till golden brown cheese slices were cheesy and gooey. Their homemade honey vinaigrette was amazingly good. Simple and delectable appetizer choice.Beef Stroganoff Omurice: mouthwatering strips of beef swimming in brown creamy mushroom sauce with light tempted sour cream added to enhance the flavor of this dish. Served with fluffy scramble eggs and rice.Scotch eggs, well-cooked bouncy hard boiled eggs wrapped with tender and QQ minced meat layer then hand breaded and fried till golden brown. Laid nicely in a pool of flavorsome brown sauce. The rest of the dishes was average tasting. continue reading

If you are looking for a romantic place to bring your loved one, Ma Maison is the choice - located at 3rd floor of the Central. The lighting of the restaurant was quite dim. However, there is a table lamp on each table, making it look like a candle light dinner. If you are lucky, you can be seated near to the window whereby the view of the Singapore River is just beside you as you dine.Caesar Salad: I would say this is one of the best Caesar Salads that I ever had. Fresh lettuce, crunchy tomatoes well mixed with the sauce. Escargots: Served piping hot, the garlic sauce really add on to the dish.Seafood Paella: Generous serving of mussells, squids and prawns. Overall, it is indeed a place for good food! continue reading
