The fish was fresh and tasty. It did not overly cooked until dry. I believe this is also one of their speciality.

It is a nice claypot noodle with more than generous amount of ingredients inside. The soup based was a little spicy but not salty. It came with meatballs, I am not sure is what kind of meat, sausages, lots of vegetables and I saw white fungus inside. It is a kind of unique combination. They also gave generous amount of noodle. Yummy!

The mandalay mee shay is interesting, came as mainly dry styled, it comes with this translucent gluey sauce added to the white thick beehoon. Shredded pork is also added, not too bad tasting i must say, just that i do not like the pig skin that was given. i didn't like the sauce that they gave me as well. The gong bao chciken was fortunately not too spicy, it was nice tasting but a tad too oily for me. Anyway i will definitely return here next time as i want to try the spicy steam fish which looks like our teochew

Saw this dish in their menu and was tempting to try it. The soup base is tasty enough and also it comes along with meat balls, vegetable, corns and hotdog. The serving is generous as you can see from the picture shown above. I liked the taste so much that I almost wanted to order another serving.

Since we are here and got to try their specialty for it. The meat is tender and easy to chew on. Meat is well fried and the taste is wonderful. I had almost half a plate of the meat by myself. Wanted to order another serving but my friend is too full to eat another round.

Overall experience is fantastic, will come back to try their other dishes really soon.

Spicy Mix Vegetables ($6.00)
this dish is moderately spicy. People who can't take spicy food would not be able to tolerate this. I love how they use several types of vegetables to make this dish. They give the dish more variety and make it more colourful. This is great to go along with rice.

Chicken Legs Soup ($3.50)
Fancy something healthy? Here's a bowl of chicken feet soup! The broth was extremely flavourful and there was no oil at the surface. However, I find that the taste of the soup was too strong and I could not tell if it was naturally flavoured or because of the M.S.G. Most people (including me) do not take chicken feet as it might be an acquired taste. Good for you if you do as chicken feet contains a lot of collagen!

Pork Legs Soup ($3.50)
Another collagen-laden soup, drink this and you are on your way to looking more youthful (that's why most chinese people look younger than their age as compared to their western counterparts). This soup was quite spicy due to the chopped chilli padi inside. It was still manageable for me though.

Deep Fried Pork Ribs ($6.00)
Don't be fooled by its unappealing appearance, they actually tasted good! I had 4 mini pork ribs! The meat was tough yet tender enough to chew and digest. It also came off the bone easily.

Kong Pao Chicken ($6.00)
This dish is mildly spicy, with many chunks of bite-sized chicken fillets, dried chilli and mixed vegetables. The meat was tender and seasoned well.

Mandalay Mee Shay (4.50) (Thicker Noodles)
Meeshay noodles are rice noodles mixed with meat sauce. Some found it spicy while I don't. I still prefer my chinese noodles though.

We also tried the Shan Rice Noodle ($4.00) (Thin & Sticky). This bowl of noodles was the more popular version among the foodies and I have to agree.

Steam Fish with Special Sauce ($15.00)
This has got to be my favourite dish for that evening. The sauce complemented the soft and tender steamed fish very well. While the sauce was rich in flavour, the fish - plain on its own - went so well with the sauce. There was a subtle taste of peanut and mild chilli which I felt was gentle on the tastebuds yet really flavourful at the same time.

Overall, the meal had a very homely feel and a sense of satisfaction came over me as I finished my meal. If you are looking for yummy burmese food, check out Mandalay Style.

Although it is instructed to cook less spicy, it's still too spicy for me! The gravy is not too thick and the vegetables are nicely cooked. The thin flat grass noodle are too chewy to my liking - but it's just a few strand of them =). The serving is big for the price - one value-for-money dish.

Deep Fried Pork Ribs (SGD$6.00)
It looks like overcook meat chunks to me when served. In actual fact, the small chunks of pork ribs allow me to removed the bones easily and it is crispy & definitely do not not look as hard as it's appearance.
This is a dish which I would recommend.

Streaky Pork Belly Salad (SGD$8.00)
It's give me the feeling of eating thai salad with roasted pork. Refreshing & SPICY & crispy - the spicy level give me a 'shiok' feeling, but yet not too uncomfortable for me to eat, this is a dish which I would recommend.

It taste similiar to the chicken rice soup but I was caught by surprise that it's spicy since it looks pretty clear to me. =) It's a bit more oily compare Pork Legs Soup.

Mandalay Mee Shay (SGD$4.50)
Taste like noodles with soybean paste (炸酱面). It's served with the thick rice noodles, chicken, bean spout and with some gravy hidden under the rice noodle, mixed them well before eating. Like the chewy thick rice noodle.

Shan Rice Noodle (SGD$4.00)
Similar to the Mandalay Mee Shay, it taste like noodles with soybean paste (炸酱面). It's served with the thin rice noodles and taste more sticky.

Steam Fish with Special Sauce (SGD$15.00)
This is a MUST ORDER dish! If you ever come here to eat, remember to order this dish. With a bit of sesame sprinkle on top of the refreshing and not too rich peanut sauce, I fall in love with this freshly steam fish which is cooked just right. The dish is very value for money too - this size for this price.

This is not the first time I ate Burmese food, but my previous experience with Burmese food is that they are somewhat similar to Chinese food but generally with stronger flavour. Mandalay style dishes changed my impression.

To be frank, this batch of Burmese Food are not too appealing to me in vision, but I really enjoy the food.

We also ordered this pork knuckles soup to share. The soup is clear and not oily, there is a strong pepper taste in it as well. There are chunky pork knuckles meat in the soup which are quite chewy and nice!

Overall this is a very nice experience. The food is cheap and very nice. I was a bit afraid to try out unknown Myanmar food at first but this really gave me a nice surprise! Would go back again.

From his introduction, we had the BBQ Whole Fish ($18 for one big whole fish!), a minced chicken dish, BBQ lady finger, some vegetables dish in a special sauce. Starting with the fish, it is fresh and I like the chaotah part on the fish, make it even more tastier. The minced chicken tasted like a thai basil chicken, but is still as nice. The lady finger in bbq style is something I never had before and will have again next time! There's no seasoning on the lady finger, all you can taste is the freshness and sweetness in it. The vegetables is also something which I never eat before, initially I was not comfortable with the taste, but slowly I start to get use of the taste and it was not a bad dish after all. The servers there are pure Burmese I think, and they are quick in getting your order and food out and is polite too.

The Rice Noodle was topped with some peanuts, spring onions, minced chicken and an unknown black sauce and will need to mix everything together before eating. The noodle was silky and chewy and it blended well with the black sauce. The noodle was really appetising which makes one easily finish the whole bowl. There was a picked radish which you can get in small saucer plates to eat with the noodle. I also ordered the pork bowl as recommended by my friend. It was served hot and was both crispy and fragrant. I really enjoyed my lunch there. This place is really value for money and affordable. Accordingly to my friend, they serve more dishes for dinner. I would visit there another time for dinner.

The dry rice noodle is my favorite! It comes with peanuts, some veggies and spices, with a bit of sweet and spicy gravy sauce. You actually need to mix it all to enjoy it best!

We can have two kinds of this noddle. One is they called dry one and other one is soup one.
