The portions are small, with each dish costing around $10-15 on average. While this is cheap for Korean food in Singapore, I have tasted far better at a similar price. However, the service was pretty quick, and our food came out within 10 minutes of ordering.

Now the food:

First of all, the complimentary kimchi was quite flavourless and mushy. This was also evident in the kimchi jiggae, which seemed to rely on its spiciness to mask the fact that their was a lack in kimchi flavour. The pork used tasted like canned pork, and there was such a lack in vegetables and glass noodles, it ought to have been marketed as a soup, rather than stew.

The $10 portion of bulgogi without glass noodles is quite small, what I would consider to be half the size of a regular plate of bulgogi elsewhere. To make it quick, it was a small plate of cheap meat that lacked the signature bulgogi flavour.

All in all, I would not recommend this place.

The place has good ambient and good services. I liked their house decorations and it gave me a feel like go back to kindergarden school or korean friend's house with a very homely and cosy atmosphere.

Although the waiting time for the restaurant seat is a bit long, it worth to queue up just because of the food.

When both of us looked at their menu, we found out that they have an extensive Korean menu. After that, we decided to try their set lunch because it is until 4.30 p.m.

I was surprised when the service crew served Minute Maid White Grape instead of Mirinda Grape because can drinks usually cost much than the machine dispensed drink.

Their set lunch menu had Kimchi Jjigae and it came with rice and the side dishes. Steamed rice was served in stainless steel bowls and typical Korean stainless steel.

My friend ordered the 김치볶음밥 (Kimchi Fried Rice) for herself, whereas for me, I ordered Spicy Pork Cutlet.

A generous portion of pork cutlet and spicy, which really enhances the flavour of the otherwise plain pork.

Bibimbab - Lots of vegetables such as carrots, beansprouts, mushrooms, seaweeds and choice of meat such as beef, pork or chicken. Do not be deceived by the plain presentation, the rice is actually very tasty. When mixed, it give all a nice fragrant and very delicious combination. Not spicy dish.

Plentiful and taste pretty good too. One of the value worth item in Manna Story.
I wonder if it is just that Red Pig Korean Restaurant had been such a great place for me, this one pales soooo much in comparision. Cheaper by say 30% than Red Pig, but I will pay that extra 30% anytime to head back to Red Pig.

I was at Plaza Singapura and we were looking for a korean restaurant to dine in. So we google and came to manna story, which only serve normal korean dishes, not korean BBQ. Their MenuI had Kimchi Jjigae and it came with rice and the sides dishes. Personally, i like the kimchi and ikan bilis a lot. The kimchi jjigae was quite average. the soup is quite diluted in my opinion. Will rather have this at places like ju shin jung or superstar k instead.

The ginseng chicken soup is a little too bitter for my taste, but I like that it's authentic with glutinous rice inside in the chicken. The glutinous have sucked up the essence of the chicken & is really delicious!

Would definitely come back again!

It is easy to miss this nondescript Korean diner in the busy & crowded food market at P.S. B2. The shop is painted a calming hue of apple green and the tiny wooden tables & chairs and the chalkboards & painted wooden cutouts adorning the walls remind me of a primary school classroom. However, dont expect tuckshop or food court prices here. The menu is small but offers adequate choices for a quick & easy meal. Bibimbap, bulgogi, ramen, nyeongmeon, pajeon, tteokbokki ~ Manna Story serves them all.

I opted for bibimbap $11++ which comes with a choice of sliced beef or spicy chicken. I had the beef bibimbap which was quite good ~ plenty of colourful, crunchy shredded vegetables, a portion of sliced beef & a sunny side up in a stainless steel bowl. Here the rice is served separately in a stainless steel bowl with lid, so you can add all or just part of the rice. Gochujung comes in a plastic sauce bottle (like those used at Old Chang Kee snack kiosks) & the diner can customize the spice level according to individual preference. Side dishes are limited & served in small saucers. However we spied other diners asking for refills and we did likewise.

Canned drinks are priced at $2++.

Reasonably priced and tasty Korean fare, with speedy service to facilitate fast customer turnover.

It was lunch period and it was hot in the outside. I was finding a comfortable indoor spot to dine in. I came across this Korean restaurant. The dishes there are offered at affordable prices. Hence, I decided to choose the restaurant as the place for my lunch. When I stepped in, I had the feeling that I was in some Korean countryside. I had one of the chef recommended dishes the restaurant offers, mul naengmyeon, a Korean cold noodle dish.

The cold noodles are buckwheat noodles drenched in cold soup and topped with pickled radishes, sliced cucumbers, a piece of beef, a slice of Asian pear and a slice of hard boiled egg. The buckwheat noodles are springy. They taste like chewing gum because they are hard to be bitten. The soup is watery, refreshing and has the numbing spiciness of wasabi. The pickled radishes are crunchy and taste sweet and sour. The cucumber slices are crunchy and refreshing. The beef is tender and chewy. The slice of pear is crunchy and refreshing likewise. It gives the dish some sweetness. The hard boiled egg adds flavour to the dish. The bowl of cold noodles is accompanied with a bottle of sesame sauce and a bottle of vinegar. The savouriness of the sesame sauce and the sourness of the vinegar quench the spiciness of the soup. There are four side dishes to go with the cold noodles - kimchi, stewed potatoes, stir-fried bean sprouts and fried anchovies with chilli. There are people who say that the taste of kimchi is a medley of all five tastes - sweet, sour, bitter, salty and spicy hot. To me, the kimchi is strongly sweet and sour and mildly bitter and spicy. The stewed potatoes are soft and savoury. The stir-fried bean sprouts are crunchy. The dried anchovies are soft and meaty. The chilli gives the dried anchovies a spicy flavour.

The cold noodles was acceptable in my opinion. The environment of the restaurant is cool and calm. There are other good Korean dishes such as dolsot bibimbap and samgyetang and canned drinks imported from South Korea available in the restaurant. Well, if I have the free time, I'll come there the next time.

Each tables only 1 sets of 4 side dishes if one of them ordered a main course from the menu. What I do not really like is that the staff over at this restaurant is not totally friendly and they do not automatic refill your drinks or your side dishes.

Yukgaejang (Spicy beef soup) @ S$12.80 per serving. The soup is very spicy for us but the overall dishes are acceptable. The dishes are served hot and it makes the foods taste good!

Kimchi Jeon (Kimchi Pancake) @$7.80 per serving.
Just a simple pancake with added kimchi flavor.
Tasteless i would say for the pancake.

Alex's choice : Bibim Naeng Myeon (Buckwheat noodles with spicy sauce) @$11.80 per serving. Feedback from Alex blog: The noodles is too soft and sticky as if it had been over-cooked while those spicy sauce though not really spicy, do not really taste well inside my mouth. I didn't get to taste it so i cannot comment on the taste wise.

Bibim Bab (Steamed Rice mixed with assorted vegetables and Beef) @$11.80 per serving. Striking hot serving and taste like bibimbab. Haha! I love the half raw eggs as it blend well into the hot pipping rice and the vegetables. Delicious for me although it is very spicy for me.

We ordered another type of pancake to serve as ala carte.
Pa Jeon (Spring Onion Pancake) @$7.80 per serving. The spring onion pancake taste better although the overall taste is tasteless.
Thanks to the spring onion that added into the taste of the plain pancake.

Sundubu Chigae (Soft Beancurd Soup) @$11.00 per serving.Rachel's choice as she wants to have less meat consuming. It's basically beancurd mixed with vegetables and blend into the kimchi soup base.

For more information, drop by my blog for photo viewing pleasure.

I have patronize a Korean Restaurant, Manana Story. The interior of the restaurant seems to be a garden with all the decorations and layout of their furnitures. They provide us with a total of 12 side dishes and it is free flow.Their anchovies was not too salty and there was a little sweetness on it as well. Ordered the onion pancake. I love it! The starchy taste of the pancake and the mixture of onions and other vegetables such as green and red peppers. The whole dish is healthy and nice.
