saw the beautiful cakes so decided to try, even though no decaf coffee available.. brownie taste averagely good, but I like the nuts and orange, lightening the whole piece up. continue reading

One evening my friends and I headed to Marche for dinner as our other option (Supply and Demand was fully booked and we had to wait till 9pm for a table). Though there was a queue at the restaurant, it moved pretty fast and so we only waited less than 30 minutes before we were seated.Once seated, my friends and I went to order food. We got drinks, seafood pasta in cream sauce, pizza and also calamari rings. The last one was mainly for me since i was craving for some fried finger food. Anyway i just have to gush about the pasta cause its really damnnnnn goooddddddd. OMG. I think its a perfect combination of seafood and cream sauce. My friends and I (4 of us in total) shared 2 bowls of pasta but i was so tempted to finish one all by myself. The pizza was also terrific! I love it! Their pizza never fail to make my tummy happy.  Calamari rings was so-so.. nothing much to rave about. continue reading

Christmas season, festive mode spread everywhere. Bustling city area, we were searching target for our dinner. Having heard of many positive comments about Marche recently, we finally stepped into this Countryside feel restaurant. Furniture was mostly made of stacked wooden crates, there was actually a stairway down to seating area. Staff gave us the Marche Guest Card for food-ordering, she gently told us there would be a penalty if we lost our card. Instead of paying cash while placing order, what we need to do was just passing the card to stall holder to swipe. Convenient idea, we paid according to value charged in card only at the end of meal. Self-service basis, we ordered and waited the food to be done at the stall. It was tough to resist the fragrant from Crepe corner, I opted for Savoury Crepe. Meaty filling with tender Ham wrapped inside, combination was crisp and yummy with slight sweetened outlay. Rosti wise, it was high-recommended for Potato lovers. Pan-fried strips with textured bite, Sausage and dash of sour cream were just nice to match along. Another dish we bought was Pork Knuckles, the plate was too tender to my liking. Portion in Half was enough for two persons, taste was pretty nice. I would not mind going back to Marche actually, although the price maybe a little high yet it still considered affordable and comparable to its standard. Such ambience and food quality, it was definitely worth a try.  continue reading

Marche is a really nice restaurant to dine in as the ambience is great and i love the concept of it. There are many small stalls in Marche and you can walk around to choose which food you would love to order. In Marche, everyonewill be given a card at the entrance and for every food you order, you can just pass the card to the person and he will record the value of the meal in your card. Once you had completed your meal, you will return your card at the cashier and foot your bill from there. It is a pretty smart way of Marche as you might not be aware of how much you had spent and will only know the amount at the cashier! Besides that, there is also gst and service charge too. ): I ordered the rosti with fried egg which cost around $8. The rosti tasted really delicious, its fragrant and buttery. For a non potato lover, it had won me over  The soup was salmon chowder. Its creamy and there were a few salmon pieces in it. Overall, Marche has a great ambience and is definietey different from your typical restaurant.  continue reading

Tried Lunch Express, 4 choices of main course to choose from (chicken, beef, fish, vegetarian)). I ordered the chicken breast with mashed potato and it comes with a drink – around $10/pax. The chicken breast is grilled with herbs. I think the chicken breast taste a bit bland on its own. But many sauces are provided to go with it. So still ok. The mashed potato is yummy – taste soft and cheesy/milky. Environment is good and children would love the playground within. Good place for family/children/friends gathering. continue reading
