Was food hunting in the Tiong Bahru area, and came across this long queue and I checked on OpenRice to see that it was highly rated so decided to try.

I ordered the Curry Chicken Rice, it took 10 minutes before it was my turn.

Surprisingly I saw very little traces of oil in the curry! Almost looks like japanese curry but a brighter vibrant colour with a sense of familiarity because it’s a local delight. The gravy is very thick , rich, and the mild spiciness is perfectly within my comfort range. It almost tastes good on its own together with the rice. “Drowned” in the curry were the soft flavourful potatoes which you could just pop in your mouth and turn it into curry mash potatoes with your gums. The chicken is so tender that it easily separates from the bone due to prolonged periods of curry “spa”.

Easily one of the best curry chicken I’ve eaten.

I have went to Tiong Bahru Market for dinner the other day. I have ended up placing an order for a claypot of Curry Fishhead. Even though it's merely half a fishhead but it's still a crazy move. The crunchy vegetables are the Curry are pretty nice. The flesh of the fish head are pretty fresh and good too. However, I think that it will taste much better if they have cooked it longer, because I personally find that the curry hasn't blend into the flesh at all.For full review and more photos, pleas

I went with my business partner to have lunch here. He recommended to try the curry fish head. We ordered a big head at $15 with french loaf and rice. The curry did not taste very spicy. I tried it with french loaf and rice. I prefer to eat with the french loaf then rice. The fish head is meaty and no fishy taste. It got some vegetable and tau pok in it too. A fish head is enough to share with 2 to 3 people.

I have found a new place to have curry dishes. This stall is only a stone's throw from my workplace and i came with my colleague to try their Curry Chicken for the first time. I could clearly smell the aromatic curry smell when ordering. I ordered a bowl of Curry Chicken with rice. I was given the drumstick part and 2 pieces of potato in it. The chicken has cooked to the right texture but still have its meat intact. The level of spiciness suited me quite well. It might be a bit spicier for some

The coconut infused gravy goes really well with rice and with bread too.

This is my second visit to this stall and I am glad that the standards and price remained the same as it is. I ordered the curry chicken and got both the bread and the rice for pairing the curry with. The curry was dished out pipping hot and it smelt really fragrant with the curry spices. The consistency of the curry is quite thick with a generous amount of coconut milk used. As last time, the curry is not overly spicy until you savour spoonsful of it. The chicken this time around however is a little tough, probably because I did not get the chicken thigh meat. However, overall, I will still think this is a nice bowl of curry.

We are new to this hawker centre and did not have an idea which stall is good. However, while walking around, we saw a few tables with a claypot of curry and shared by 2-3 people. That piqued our curiosity and interest and we walked over to the stall. As we are not big eaters, we decided to get just the curry chicken set and white rice and omit getting the bread. The curry is thick and quite consistent. It is not overly spicy - but it does get a little spicy if you savour spoons and spoons of it

The potato is soft and chicken is tender, so overall it is nice.

If you love curry vegetable more than the curry chicken then you should try this. Quite a big portion of curry vegetable like cabbage and long beans at only $3.00. The texture of the vegetable was quite soft yet not messy. The curry gravy is not too spicy nor too too diluted. I can have a 2 big bowls of rice with just a portion of curry vegetable.

Curry Mixed Vegetable and Curry Chicken have always been amongst my favorite dishes that prompted me to have an extra bowl of rice.

I have decided to take away both from this particular stall and to have them for dinner at home. There was no queue during lunch. I gotten my order almost immediately after ordering.

The portion of Curry Mixed Vegetable was a generous one. I could not resist but eaten some before this picture was taken. The cabbage and long bean were cooked rather well to give it the nice softness.

The chicken curry came with 2 pieces of potatoes and 4 pieces of chicken parts. The curry was of a certain spiciness and if you do not like your curry to be spicy then this is might not be your kind of curry. The potatoes and chicken were cooked well to give it the right texture.

Recommended.

This is not my first itme eating at this stall. I like it for its thick curry, though I wished it could be spicier for spicy eaters like me. The exterior of the bread is slightly crispy while the interior is soft. I liked to tear the bread apart and dip the interior portion into the curry such that it soaks up the curry and then savoured it in one mouthful. YUM. As for the ingredients, they are quite standard - chicken meat and potato. The chicken has already soaked up the curry, making it very
