I wanted to try something else from this stall and decided to ask for salted egg sotong, as I'm quite a fan of salted egg stuff. However, I made the wrong choice, as the salted egg sotong was very disappointing. It was stir-fried with eggs and salted egg, but there was no salted egg taste; rather, the ginger taste was more distinct. At $12 a plate, I didn't like it at all. Heard that they have one of the best chilli crabs, so better to stick to that instead of other stuff in future.

This place is hard to access unless you drive or you live in the area. It’s a spacious hawker centre that's well ventilated despite the crowds. So I had one delicious craving which I haven’t had a long time - CRAB CRAB CRAB CRAB CRAB! and buns. The service was prompt and speedy. The crab was meaty and the sauce blend was just perfect. the buns was crispy crunch on the outside and soft fragrant on the inside. Pair off with the sauce and crab - simply heavenly.

There were a few stalls selling BBQ seafood, and I decided to try the stingray from Mattar Road Seafood Barbecue; have read somewhere that they have good chilli crabs, so you may want to try. The smallest stingray costs $12, which I think is more expensive than the average $10. Portion was alright, quite a big piece, and stingray was well grilled and it took over 15 minutes. I particularly like the chilli, as it has a peanut taste to it, and wasn't overly spicy.
