A delicious after meal snack wrapped with half a mango and splatters of mango sauce. The mango is quite sweet and taste lovely with the rice flour it is wrapped in. Though the price is slightly expensive ($3) for half a mango and around 4 to 5 pieces of the mango slices, it is worth a try especially for people looking for a tasty and healthy snack after a meal.

This shop has been popular amongst Singaporeans and tourists. A refreshing dessert (ma ti lu on the menu) is suited for Singapore's hot weather. Customers have a choice of having the dessert hot or cold. Do try their paste which has the right consistency and really smooth texture! I always enjoy their Black Sesame paste. They also have really nice snow ice dessert perfect for sharing! My favorite would be the Green Tea flavor that comes with sweet red beans drizzled all over

My friends and I had a meetup session after not seeing each other for about 2 months due to work and school.
We decided to walk around chinatown after having dinner at the nearby hawker centre.
We chance upon this dessert store that was still open at about 9.30pm

However when we stepped in, the staff informed us that they were going to close at 10pm.
The guy told us that if we want to order we have to do it fast, which we did after taking a seat.
However, i didn't like the fact that the guy was hovering around us while waiting for us to order which is quite annoying.
When we ordered, we were immediately told to pay at the same time

We ordered one chocolate and one mix of strawberry and lychee snow ices.
Two snow ices cost about $11, the chocolate was around $5 and the other was around $6.
The chocolate one was a tad bitter.
The mix of strawberry and lychee snow ice was surprisingly refreshing and it came with some jelly cubes and jelly tadpoles.
We found the latter more tasty and decided we'll be back to try other flavours at an earlier timing

Mei Heong Yuen is more famous for their desserts, but we decided to try out their chee cheong fun instead after seeing the table next to us ordering it. The dessert stall has my favorite snow ice desserts too, but we decided to ordered the traditional ones.

Ever since I tried snow ice in Hongkong and Taipei, I fell in love with it. It became one of my favourite desserts. Whenever I could afford the calorie, I would have it. Ever since I tried snow ice in Hongkong and Taipei, I fell in love with it. It became one of my favourite desserts. Whenever I could afford the calorie, I would have it. I knew this place serving tradition sweet soups and snow ice for long. Wherever it serves snow ice, it catches my attention. This was another Sunday biking, I reached Chinatown at early afternoon, it was around 2+pm, I have yet to have my lunch. I decided to have my dessert first then lunch. This place is popular and always packed with patrons. I managed to find a seat next to my bike, browse their menu, they serve few types of snow ice only, from the picture most of them looked too much colouring to me, my last option was chendol snow ice as ice was white in colour, it really looked like real ice!

As you can see the picture, they stack high the snow ice, ingredients are the usual chendol, there are few pieces of transparent cube, mild sweet to taste, I guess this is transparent agar agar, quite interesting though. Syrup is putting by myself, I like this idea as I can control the sweetness myself.

Here comes the pure white snow ice, it has rich coconut flavour, smooth and melt in your mouth. The richness is like using the coconut milk to freeze then shave to snow ice, no addition of water. Though it is really rich coconut taste but I love it simply. I saw some patrons having mango snow ice, this time the colour is too rich to me, it is too artificial and too much colouring. I was happy with chendol snow ice.

Something which you should avoid ordering is the meat dumpling. Personally, I find that it is not worth paying $5 for as there isn't much filling and doesn't taste as good as I have expected (disappointing!).

This giant Cantonese dumpling serves not as a dessert to me but as my dinner. This rice dumpling was stuffed with various ingredients like the Chinese black mushrooms, chunks of pork meat, roasted chestnuts and the salted egg yolk. Who say we should only eat rice dumpling during festival time? This is one delicious rice dumpling that can be eaten anytime, any day.

This time tried their durian snow ice. Presentation is very attractive! I would say 2 person can share this dessert as it's quite a lot. The snow ice is very smooth indeed with not too strong durian taste. I suppose they didn't use the expensive fragrant durian due to cost! If not it would be perfect for durian lovers like me!Herbal jelly is "so so" to me. The honey they provided is just too sweet and thick for me.

I've always love their peanut paste but today it's sold out! so i've ordered water chestnut with sweet corn instead. There's a choice of serving in hot or cold. I prefer the cold version as it's very refreshing to taste. Sweetness of the water chestnut with sweet corn is great! Price at S$2.50

Mango with pomelo and sago is one of their signature desserts @S$4.00. It's a bigger bowl than the normal dessert that's why it cost more i guess. And the mango is quite fresh too.

I have nothing nice to say other than COMPLAINTS!!! The photo in their menu looked so delicious, real food so yucky! It is seriously overpriced! Just a normal plain dumpling. Yes i am referring to their dumpling. It is very dry, meat is hard and everything is bland! Yam paste was very oily and dry. Not smooth at all. Mango shaven ice was okay. Just average. The mango fruits pieces are small and a tad sour. All in all, i'll never patronize here again!

Located along the stretches of restaurants and around the vicinity of Bugis Junction, this small dessert cafe is mostly crowded, with some tables even having 4 pax to 1 table. Generally, people come for the dessert and go off the moment they're done, so no worries, you would not need to wait long.Taste wise, the Yang Zi Gan Lu, Mango Pomelo was of nothing special. Taste was average but, presentation is striking.
