It was during one of the weekends that I decided to dine in the smallest eatery in Westmall when everywhere else were packed with people due to the nearing of festive seasons. As the name suggest, Men Men Don Don is selling Japanese Food mainly on "men" (noodles like ramen, udon and Soba) while Don when traslated from Japanese it means rice.No doubt that there were limited seating in the shop, I manage to grab a table on my own but for the fear that the aircon water might drip anytime from above. There were about 4 helpers in the small shops and happily chatting with each other. Service was very fast with their teamwork.I ordered a bowl of Niku Udon with kitsune and seaweeds as part of it. Beef was sliced to smaller piceces thus looked curled up when it was in contact with the heat during cooking. The soup was very tasty and sweet. If you are looking a quick bite on Japanese Cuisine and not burning a hole in your pocket, Men Men Don Don will be a good choice.www.umakemehungry.com

Many of my friends recommended this Japanese Eatery at West Mall.So I decided to try their bento. I had ordered Teriyaki Beef Bento. The teriyaki Beef Bento comes with a half boiled egg. The beef meat tasted quite artifical. I am not sure whether I am eating beef meat. I think they put too much tenderiser into the meat marinated until the meat was soft and bland.

I got this Chicken terriyaki rice for me and my mom as lunch while running some errands at west mall. Hmm.. I dont really like it. Find that the terriyaki sauce is too overwhelming, too sweet to my liking. And the chicken tasted quite tough, quite dry. Its dont taste juicy. But overall, it is still quite acceptable at a reasonable pricing. Cant complain too much,

My friends and I were walking at Westmall and came across this small shop on the first floor. Decided to go in and try it out. The shop is quite small but when we went in it was around 5pm so it was not crowded....thank god! There are menus for Rice and Noodle. My friend's cousin ordered the beef udon soup, it was quite good according to her. I tried the soup and she was right, the soup was sweet. Will try this out on my next visit. For an additional $2 u can add on Chicken Kara Age and Seasonsoned Egg with your noodle. My friend ordered the Teriyaki Rice....which she felt it's too sweet for her liking....although I find it not bad myself.I ordered Ginger Pork Rice....which is highly recommended. It was delicious and it comes with a half boiled egg on top. For the price we're paying we think it's affordable and quite filling.

Ordered the ebitama don (quite a strange choice i guess) on the way back from school. The ebitama don is a egg and shrimp rice bowl.At $5.80 a bowl, it was pretty affordable and tasty! Although the shrimps were small and rather tiny, i enjoyed the meal. For a small eater like me, a small rice bowl like this was just the right size!
