What do you do when you are craving local food like mee pok in the wee hours of the night? Head on down to Mengs kitchen! Even at 12mn, I had wait at least 10 minutes to get a table.Do not expect air con and a super clean coffee shop, this is your typical coffee shop you find in the heartlands on upper Thomson road. It is quite hot and stuffy and I would recommend you to get a table outside the shop, facing the main road for some fresh air.Pay up front at the cashier, starting at $4 for mee pok

Pay up front at the cashier, starting at $4 for mee pok and $5 for a mini work. It's still reasonable and the food is served to you rather quickly. They are generous with the seaweed in the soup and you can taste the lard in everything! The soup was quite addictive but it didn't leave me feeling thirsty so hopefully no MSG? The fish balls had soup in them so be careful when chewing on them! The noodles tasted good and we enjoyed it! Would definitely be back if I have another craving for noodles in the middle of the night!
