First ramen to be served was the Black Shabu Ramen (SGD$14.90), using a variety of black sauce, garlic and onion, giving it a heavier flavor that is nonetheless very aromatic. The shabu pork was rather tender, making for a satisfying but rather average ramen meal, served with the essential flavored egg, bamboo shoot and spring onion.

The White Chashu Ramen (SGD14.90) features the signature white tonkotsu broth made by boiling a substantial amount of pork bones, giving it a rich and creamy taste. The succulent slices of chashu pork was the highlight of this dish naturally, infused deliciously in the tasty broth.

I chose the Red Seafood Ramen (SGD$15.90), a pool of supposedly spicy soup base laden with lots of seafood - prawns, squids, scallops, flavored egg etc. The soup was not spicy at all, so I kept dousing Japanese red chilli powder onto it; the noodles were rather limp as well. While it made for a passable bowl of ramen when one is hungry (and I was), I have had better ones elsewhere.

Contrary to what was expected, it was a curry broth instead of curry sauce. It tastes nice and the ramen portion is well worth for its price. Definitely worthy of a chef's recommendation. Side dish ordered was the golden mushrooms. It is crispy and nice. Mixing with the curry broth makes it equally delicious.

Definitely a recommend for ramen lovers. (:

Every dish comes with a small bowl of dipping sauce, which is flavourful and definitely added taste to my ramen. I particularly like the ramen here as it is cooked well and very springy. However, I felt that the broth was a little too rich for me. The evenly sliced chashu, though a little salty, is tender and contains a good portion of fats.

So I've also ordered some Fried Chicken ($6.90) as my sides. Although I only touched them after I was halfway done with my ramen, the wings were still hot, which tells me a lot about how well they cooked it. The sticks also made it easier to eat without worrying about your image.

Overall, although the ramen wasn't the best I've tried, it was still worth going back again because  it's still unique in its own way and to me, it's considered above average hence worth the value too!

My first impression towards the restaurant was ‘’ Ninja’’ home. Maybe the special décor, it looked like a fighting place rather than eating place. I had never been here before. The menu was terrifying right? Dramatic main character in the picture who was going to complete his mission, the theme was so creative. Ramen was breathtaking, super-matched with its soup. Bacon with perfectly thickness, no need much explanations, was stretchable and tasty. Only four pieces, it was not sufficient in fact.

Ramen was breathtaking, super-matched with its soup. Bacon with perfectly thickness, no need much explanations, was stretchable and tasty. Only four pieces, it was not sufficient in fact. Salted Egg and Seaweed well-accompanied Ramen too, the portion still considered acceptable. Price wise, it was $14.90.

Unfortunately, it wasn't fiery in the least but was nonetheless incredibly delicious. I loved how rich and creamy the broth was whilst managing not to be overly oily or salty (great for the sake of my kidneys!) The egg was perfect and maintained a gooey center while the pork was tender and juicy.

My husband decided to be adventurous and go for the Akiba Curry Ramen. The ramen was served in a curry infused broth, not just a curry sauce as I'd expected, which was great. The curry ramen was surprisingly good and a refreshing change, although the pork was not as fatty or succulent as those served in the traditional version.

Ultimately, I think Menya Musashi has pretty good ramen. If you go, try to head down by 5:30 as it gets pretty packed! You know how kiasu we Singaporeans can be.

BUT! It was then we realised that the resturant was not full, but we were kept standing & just waiting for nothing!! We saw people leaving and empty tables, but no one attended to us. Staff were just standing around. *Shrugged*

When finally we were led to our table in the inner section (which cannot be seen from the entrance), there was even more empty tables! >.<

I dun understand why. If a resturant is really good, do they need to resort to such tactics to create fake queue? Well, they had indeed succeed in getting new customers. But returning customers? I doubt so unless there's something wrong with your taste bud. Your time can be better spend elsewhere, rather than in a redundant queue.

Okay, even if I'm forgiving towards the resturant's stoopid sale tactics, at least the food must be good rite? And not forgetting, we had waited for an hour plus and we were starving.

Humpt..

Food wise, nothing fantastic. The noodles reminded me of those Chinese yellow noodles, with the funny taste. And they stick together, like it was cooked by some amateur chef. I cooked maggie mee with better skills if I stick to the recommended cooking time of 3 mins. *Rolled eyes*

I was craving for some ramen so I went to Menya Musashi at raffles city. There was this new promotion, so I tried the toro toro nankotsuni ramen. The broth was very rich and flavourful, but a little salty like all usual ramen broths. Soup was a little oily as well. However, I loved the egg as the yolk was semi-liquid, very well done. The amount of ramen given was also quite a lot.

The ramen served here tastes slightly different from those in other outlets here. For one, their stock is both seafood and meat based, so there is more complexity of flavour in the broth. Needless to say, it is also richer in taste as well. Many may find the broth here a tad too salty but this is indeed keeping to its authentic Japanese flavour. The noodles are on the thicker side which is a nice change from the usual thin ones.

Tsukemen with whith musashi. It cost $14.90.
It is basically just separting the ramen and the broth, having it dry.
The menu did state how we are supposed to eat this ramen. It is my first time eating dry ramen and it looks interesting.
We are supposed to take a small portion of the ramen, dip it into the broth for a while and then eat it

The broth is thick and by dipping it, it is nice and not that salty. It tasted much better than the soup ramen in my previous visit at another branch.
I ordered only times 2 the noodles but i couldn't finish it, so it is very worth for big eaters!

My order was the White Ramen ($12.90-- I think). My ramen was served quite fast. I tried the soup, it was good. Though, I would have preferred it to be really hot and not just warm. The noodles weren't al dente, they were a bit soft to my liking. However, the char siew was really meaty, tender, and good! I saved it for last so it would get soaked in the broth. Good!

Soup turns cold easily. However, the soup base is very rich (and not watery). We ordered a bowl of ramen wih red soup base and the one at the bottom is white soup base. For the bottom version, the soup and ramen comes separately. You can choose the amount of ramen you want from a level 1 to 4(or 5?). My partner chose level 3 because he was really hungry and it was so massive! If you're really hungry, level 2 should be sufficient.
