Noodle itself was delicate, but the pork was way too salty to be "delicious "! The egg and the salad was just average level. continue reading

Went on a Thursday night for dinner with a friend as we both had cravings for ramen and the waiting time was around 5 minutes. There are 3 types of soup bases (white, red and black) for customers to choose from and I personally think it's very nice of them as not everyone likes very strong and salty soup base (I'm one of them). So Ii chose the White Aburi Ramen while my friend who likes flavorful soup base chose the Cha Shu Ramen. We also ordered a Soft Shell Crab to share between the two of us. Personally i think the White Aburi Pork Ramen was not too bad and the soup base was just nice (not too bland nor salty). I tried my friend's soup base and it was not too bad also (but a little too salty for my preference) however, i thought that their ramen serving was kind of too small and not filling enough for me! I would appreciate if they can increase their serving of their ramen! On a side note, I liked their soft shell crab quite a lot! It was crispy on the outside and tender on the inside On the whole, it was just an average dining experience here and I don't think it is good enough to be my first choice ramen place! The meal wasn't very cheap as well (our bill came up to $43.20 in total). continue reading

Firstly, i couldn't emphasis how small the shop is! They could not accommodate large group of people, so do not go there on a gathering. I had to split table with my friends, but it is alright, cause the place is so small that we are still pretty close to each other. I had the Black Cha Shu ramen, which is highly recommended by my friend who had tried the same shop in another location. It was disappointing. The soup was bland, and yet so oily. The cha shu is thick, but more than half is made of fats! And i think the noodle is pretty soggy, not to my liking. Perhaps its time to give its other branches a try. continue reading

My friends and I reach the shop past 2pm but the staff was nice and we were still able to order the lunch menu which supposedly have ended. There are 3 soup choices for the ramen, the black, red or white Musashi. I choose the white soup duck ramen, and it comes with a side. There are a few sides to choose from too. I choose the chicken karaage. The soup base was thick and was quite salty. I cannot imagine how salty will the black and red soup be. However, the ramen was nice and it saved the soup. This meal was a late lunch so there wasn't alot of people in the shop, yet i feel that the area is too small. There were only a few seats and i do not think it can accommodate the large number of customers during the peak period. continue reading

Well, i ordered the same Ramen at raffles city too! I remembered i was nice, so i tried the same dish again. But at the Star Vista it was disappointing! The ramen was so oily that i couldn't finish eating, or rather i choose to stop myself. I didn't even dare to drink the soup as I saw layer of oil on the top of soup! Yucks! Their service was bad too due to the foreigners they employed. There is language barrier between us. The shop was too small to hold so many customers. That was really a disappointing experience. continue reading
