We tried the salted butter scotch and it was really good. Considering it is a hot afternoon! We also tried the grape yakult yogurt. It was very creamy and light, flavourful too! Another hidden ice cream palour! Dont you realized nowadays most of the newly opened ice cream palour are well hidden in the neighbourhood or at the outskirt of town. This gem is located inside Sunshine Plaza. There’s actually quite a no. of food places inside there too. Should find one time to explore those too. A small parlour with a retro radio frame on their glass window. Good for some photo shoots, dont you think so? But the interior, is rather simple with a few tables for sitting.They have nearly 15 over ice cream flavours! And i would say beside the usual flavour, they have quite a number of special flavours! I love ice cream and having it on crispy waffles is the best combination ever! My friend brought me to check out this relatively new ice cream shop at sunshine plaza! We got double scoops of ice-cream on waffles! We choose the Root Beer Float and Salted Butterscotch flavour. I was very curious of how the root beer flavour will taste like and it turn out really having the root beer float flavour! However, as you eat more of it, the flavour starts to become more bland. I like the salted butterscotch flavour here! The waffles are not the best in town, but it is not bad with it being slightly crispy. Merely Ice-Cream is just a clean and simple looking space with white walls and wooden furniture. The fun part is that there are slips of papers with drawings and notes under the glass top of the tables which most of them are left by customers; quite a cool and fun concept where patrons can be a part of decorating the shop.At Merely, the staff are more concerned on you getting to enjoy their ice-cream, so do not be shy if you are the sort whom want to try all the flavours before you decide.The Bailey’s Coffee here is one of the few of this flavour that I enjoyed thoroughly. While places that usually serve both Bailey’s and Coffee seperately are fine, places that served them combined usually have coffee overpowering Bailey’s or vice versa. I liked how the one here started with a hint of coffee, and then halfway throufh the familiar flavour of Bailey’s kicks in to provide a even weightage of each flavour. Breakfast Cereal is an even more interesting flavour from the combination of milk and cereal. The result was a nice milky sensation with a hint of cornflakes. It might seem weird, but I enjoyed the serving I had. Food2 scoops of ice cream costs $5.60. We have ordered 3 scoops, namely Salted Butterscotch, Rum and Raisins & Madagascar Vanilla. Alcohol Ice cream costs $0.60 more on top of the original's. Salted butterscotch is definitely a smart choice! It's not that salty and creamy / buttery as i thought. Completely Soothing to our throats. Madagascar vanilla gives me a sensational sweet feeling - yeah! This feeling is good especially when one is enjoying cooling food. As for run and raisin, their's is also a good choice. Overall, if I were to compare the ice cream shops I went, the one in west coast - Ice Cream Frenzy and Tom's Palette's at beach road is good. ServiceService is good. They have quick service despite the long queues. Like Ben & Jerry's we are served by youngsters who are working as part time. AmbienceNot much space and seats placing are quite narrow. Merely icecream is located at sunshine plaza which is very near SMU, so if I have the time, I will make my way down to get some ice cream. They have very unique ice cream like peanut and butter! They also have a few alcoholic flavours like baileys! I'm not a fan of alcohols so I didn't go for it. My favourite is none other than the oreo milk. I always like oreo cookies, and especially their ice cream! Merelyicecream is just a small ice cream parlours with very limited seats. I think there's only around 30 seats inside? There's a few outdoors also! The staff was very friendly as well they are alright with us tasting the ice cream before ordering. Usually, it's quite empty here.
