Trying out Ming Kitchen for the 2nd time. This is the Black Pepper Beef. The beef was slightly tough and there was too much gravy here. The gravy could be put to good use if you mix it with rice. Not a bad choice for dinner if the beef could be softer. This is the Homemade Tofu with Minced Meat. You get 2 stalks of broccoli as garnishing. I found this dish way too oily for my liking. The tofu was alright but there was just too much oil!Lastly, we had the Sweet Potato Leaves stir-fried with garli

Lastly, we had the Sweet Potato Leaves stir-fried with garlic. This was by far the best dish and I don't think it takes much skill to cook vegetables.

I reckon I haven't had much luck with the food from Ming Kitchen but I will try the seafood dishes next time since Ming Kitchen is apparently famed for those food products.

Heard a few good things about this zi char eatery so decided to give it a try for dinner. This is the Stir-fried Chicken with Vegetables. Chicken chunks were a little larger than average and vegetables included broccoli, onions, carrots and mushrooms. Chicken was soft but a tad salty. This is the Brinjal with Minced Meat in Spicy Sauce. The sauce goes very well with rice! Brinjal was flavourful even though it was rather oily. You can see a layer of oil floating above the sauce. We also had the Homemade Tofu with Spinach in Superior Stock. This is considered the best dish out of the 4 that we had. Tofu was soft and silky and the tofu skin was nicely infused with the stock. The tofu skin wasn't too hard to break apart as well so that made eating easy.

Lastly, the Sliced Fish and Bittergourd in Black Bean Sauce. Ming Kitchen is extremely stingy with their sliced fish! There were only about 5 slices of fish and the rest were bittergourd. I know that fish is more expensive than vegetables but this is ridiculous.

I would try the seafood dishes next time since this place is known for its seafood.

My mum did not cook so we ordered takeaway from this zi char stall. The prices are quite reasonable with the noodles and rice dishes at $3.50 onwards. My seafood hor fun costs $3.50 and it comes with generous amount of sliced pork, vegetables and egg. There are two prawns and some squid which are quite fresh without any fishy aftertaste. The horfun is tasty with the gooey gravy and does not stick to each other, making it glide easily down my throat with every spoonful. Overall, it is great and I
