For non-MOE staff, most items are charged at 50 cents more. Still, at $3.50 for a plate of seafood sheng mee, it's still an acceptable price. I stood behind another customer, on the left side of the stall, waiting to place my order. However, my suspicion was aroused when I saw someone "cutting" my queue and ordering before me. Poor me then saw the sign on the right side of the stall, indicating to "order" there first. * Face palm * I had to wait about 10-15 mins subsequently for my order. The sheng mee was alright, the sauce was not strongly flavored, so it feels a bit "healthier". Ingredients seemed fresh enough. And oh yah, chicken was used as the meat (instead of the usual pork) here. So, this is just a normal-tasting dish, nothing to shout about though. continue reading
